Jihadi John Is Dead

He actually said he would rather catch him and put him through the courts instead, given terrorists welcome death and being caught and locked away for the rest of their days is their worst nightmare it would not be an unreasonable way to punish them in some peoples view
But you carry on

Why should I pay for that piece of shit

Can't agree with that, clearly its better that we're no longer in conflict with IRA, but many have been pardoned for murder, many never caught, but now free to live a life those they murdered can't, some are now even in government, that's not right either.

Cries of justice for this guy are all fine and well, but he was never going to be brought to justice, and would have carried on doing what he did with impunity, remember it isn't just westerners he's been accused of brutally executing.

I can't say I'll be shedding any tears for him tonight, though the world will be no safer as a result, but at least one murdering tw@t won't be still on it.

We may have to compromise if we are to achieve a peace with militant Islam, but that doesn't detract from the fact that they are first and foremost criminals and all things being equal should be dealt with as such.

All I would say about Jihadi John is that people with worse crimes than his still are entitled to a trial. He was, like you say, never going to be brought to justice and I like you won't shed any tears that he hasn't had the trial that even scum like he are entitled to under the law.

But it wasn't his rights I had in mind when I said it would be better if he had been tried. It was ours. As a society we are better for imprisoning terrorists as criminals after a civilian trial rather than locking them up like prisoners of war or legitimate soldiers on a battlefield. If troops had been present after Lee Rigby had been murdered the scum that killed him might have been shot dead there and then. They weren't, and as a society We were better for prosecuting and imprisoning those disgusting specimens. Justice was done in the courts as it should be. So It is the loss of our right to a trial that I regret, not Jihadi John's.

Are we not at war with these people does he have rights as a criminal or is he a legitimate target as an enemy soldier, where we going to put all these criminals after they are brought to justice in our fair society

He has a right to bullet. The views of the families do not concern me.
What does is the safety of peace loving people who could have died at his hand or indeed have done. I bet they would not be as forgiving as their families.

The man imposed on another in the worst way, he took their life and for that he deserves to die and i would flick the switch myself.

Agreed.

He isnt a soldier and we aren't at war with ISIS.

He was a criminal, of course he had rights. Had he returned to the UK to face trial did you think we would have shot him at the border?

The fact that he chose to carry out further crimes in a combat area meant his rights were incapable of being upheld. His own actions render him a legitimate target as an illegal combatant in an area where military action sanctioned by law is taking place. So I will not mourn the fact that his rights cannot, through his own actions, be upheld. But neither will I agree that his crimes, however horrific, deprive him of those very rights that millions died to guarantee.
