JO - Everton on Loan

Just a little point . Jo has not yet had a full medical at Everton , only the cursory fitness check that all of the Everton first team squad go through at the start of the season . Before a player is offered a contract and signs it he has to go through a full medical at Finch Farm and a private hospital . If its a loan deal this is not done for the simple reason if the player gets a long term injury then he returns to his own club . If Jo signs before the friendly against Bury tonight , it's a loan deal , not a full transfer .

below is a quote from Carlo nash hen asked about Joleon

" you think that Joleon will stay?

Carlo Nash: Joleon's a fantastic player and a great guy to have around. All the lads want him to stay and we're more than confident he will. We had a great year last year and we're all keen to see the side stay together. "

Players talk to each other , try not to count your chickens ... Personally I'd be quite happy to take £25m off you , Moyes will probably find a replacement just as good for about £1.5m

Jo will come good in time he was just never going to get htat with CIty with the new owners. It was a bad signing for us and the player TBH was never going to work out for him at city as we needed him to be the finished article.

I Think Jo and £14 million ish for Lescott is good business for both teams. They need another forward and the money should get them a solid right back and another centre half. So thats 3 players for 1 for a side like Everton which struggle for cash this has to be good business.

Thinking about it its more likely to be a permanent deal as Wolves have a decent sell on fee on Lescott. The less they get in cash the more they gain overall out of the deal. Also if he went on loan for a season and bangs in a load of goals, if the deal was not structured right we could always refuse to sell...

Wolves get 15% of whatever profit we make on Lescott so for 14 mil that would approximately be £1.3m

Do you honestly think we are letting you borrow one of our players all the while risking injury and potentially having to take the lummux back if it occurs without having a deal in place? No chance, it was widely reported he had a medical on Monday before travelling up to Scotland. Jo is key in us buttering up Golem for Lescott.

You make it sound as though your not bothered about Lescott leaving but you clearly are by including a quote from Carlo Gash and then trying to balance it with a childish, "Moyesy will buy another player as good for 1.5 million anyway."

This is correct, I imagine a medical wouldn't be a problem anyway as he has played for us about 6 weeks ago.

No need to, we understand that we don't exactly have the most handsome of premier league managers.

I know for a fact that Jo has not had a full medical at Everton , and as far as him returning if he's injured this happens with EVERY loan deal , not just this one ,just to make it clearer , I would be sorry to see Joleon go but I would understand his reasons for going but if he did It would only be acceptable if we were properly compensated for his loss , and I don't see how involving Jo in the deal could be regarded as proper compensation , he's a decent promising player but so is James Vaughan , Jo is not a neccessity . Maybe I was being a little ' ironic ' saying Moyes could find a replacement cheaply , but then Baines , jags , Joleon and Yobo only cost £18m for 4 top class defenders , 3 full internationals and an u21 international who's been in the full squad , so not a bad record really, and i'm not that childish that I find the need to insult our players ... SoI repeat ... i'd happily take £25m off you and yes Moyes will find a replacement worth far more than he actually pays for him , as much as that might gall you but it'swhat he does , and does it well ... you don't get Manager of the year 3 times for nothing !!!

JO played upfront on his own for us last season, and looked very good a times. He is a confidence player.

When we have a fit squad, Jo will find himself on the bench, he is way off the standard of our first choice striker, who is one of the top draw finishers in the prem, I just hope he comes back the same player he was before.

No offense mate, but facts are that we confirmed the deal and then swiftly pulled it from our site, he has had his medical, everyone knows it. Jo is not a player returning from pre season for you as he is not your player. The only reason he went to finch farm was for a medical. Why else would he go there before travelling to Scotland? He would of skipped the finch farm part and gone straight to training. We all know he is going to be an Everton player its just what we recieve in return thats going to be the interesting part.

It doesnt gall me in the slightest by the way, Hughes was more than capable of picking up bargains of his own, Zabaleta, and Kompany being 2. Now we just happen to be able to pay what we like.

just pure conjecture on your behalf .... I know for a fact that Jo has NOT had a full medical , the procedue he went through on Monday was just an assesment that all Everton players go through before they start training to ensure that their fitness levels have been reasonably been maintained during their summer break ,nothing more , A full medical prior to signing a transfer can take 3 days at Everton they are that stringent , Mikel Forsell was actually introduced to all the 1st team squad and given a tour of Bellefield , our old training ground prior to a medical and he was not signed due to a knee problem that was discovered , Sean Davies was the same , ?Take it from me , this is a loan deal
