Joao Felix

He’s not shit. Let’s have it right.

But they can fuck off trying to cop out of the Alvarez fee by using a player they’re already desperate to get rid of. It’s not like he’s in particularly high demand and they’re doing us a favour.

It depends how Atletico values him.

City wants 85 as they say, so if Atletico's offer is: 50M + Felix, then it isn't as bad as it seems

1) Both are the same age 24
2) Julian is more successful, but.. In terms of pure footballing talent, I think Felix is better.
3) We have a lot of Brazilian / Portuguese players for him to feel at home and adapt faster
4) Pep wanted him in the past
5) If we sell Julian, we need replacement anyway to be Haaland's cover.

Not sure this one has legs and doubt we’d be interested in anything less than a big fee. Expect the story to be put to bed today. But, personally in the absence of anything else that really stands out I wouldn’t be against a fee for Alvarez + a loan of Felix with buy option, with more cash to come city’s way if we don’t take up the permanent Felix deal.

He certainly isn’t ‘shit’ or a ‘clown’. He hasn’t reached his potential and he is now 24 years old, but so is Alvarez and loads of people would say he’s got loads of room to improve. Felix under Pep in our team could still fail to reach the potential he shows in flashes but imo his ceiling was the very very top and if anyone’s going to get him to that level it’s Pep.

Pep up very similar numbers to Eze last season but doubtful they take this over the cash. but seen sillier things happen in football.

Biggest issue isn’t his talent but whether him having a rotation role and backup to Haaland will result in him being disruptive- seems the type of player who will want to play every game

For all his technical ability, his lack of physicality and pace hurts him at the top level. His work rate and mentality is also, quite frankly, horrific. Might have been worth a punt as a kid, but now, turning 25 this year, can't see Pep being interested in such a lazy and moody player.

Well.. in that case he can fuck off..

He shouldn't have moved to Atletico in the first place. This would just be helping Atletico & Mendes out, rather than have a tangible benefit for us
