If a player isn't mentally there, and I think his performances were that of a mentally tired player, and given he's played almost non stop since he returned to City, its not surprising, then of course its right to drop him, as Pellegrini did, it will have focussed Hart's mind, and he'll be back better mentally. Great that he starts tomorrow, it should be a busy game for him, if he plays well then he might well be selected against Spurs.George Hannah said:In the absence of a better alternative the smart and brave way to help Joe back to form would have been to keep picking him.
