Joe Hart (continued)

I think it was right to give Joe a rest in the Capital One Cup tie, but I would have stuck him back in for the league game. Keepers live off confidence, further time away from the sticks will be doing him no good in my opinion.

Really he should be back v spurs. Big game and joe is right for it. If he doesn't play then writing could be on the wall.

His shot-stopping ability hasn't been the main issue, his decision making has, and he's shown again tonight that it's still not right, coming out and getting nowhere near the ball when he clattered Smalling.
At least he clattered smalling, surely that can't be a bad thing, how on earth does that fella get to play international football ?[/quote]
Do we really need to answer that ? The same reason as cleverley, Jones, young, even going back to Gary fookin Bailey. Compare to Matt le tissier, who didn't have the "utd factor". 2 caps ? That's why England will never win anything.

even going back to Gary fookin Bailey
==================
Sure he never played for England... South African

Actually he did... how come?

A couple of years ago I started a thread titled "sorry Joe" it was to replace him with neuer, it was not a slight on Joe as much as banging a drum for neuer, he was then and is now the best keeper around. We would have got him back then dead easy. I was slagged off on here of course but hey ho.

And rightly so... silly statement Bill. 3 consecutive golden gloves.

I believe he won all 3 of those in a league containing Peter Cech and a good few v Hugo Lloris and Edwin Van der Sar as well.

neuer would have got platinum gloves:)

he's just a better keeper mate, the gloves were as much down to our back four as anything.
joe does seem unlucky, I was thinking the other day he, and we, never get away with anything. if we fuck up anywhere we get punished.

seems cruel.

He's a top class keeper... going through a mini crisis.. nothing more. I remember Ray Clemence going through the same... letting a pea roller go through his legs at Hampden Park.. They all go through it at some stage... it's how they respond that gives them the edge. Joe is top class

What seems cruel to me is the constant slagging off of our goalkeeper, but then I am a sentimental old woman who just wants to give Joe a big hug, just as I would my own grandson if I felt people were upsetting him!!!

BRING BACK JOE, but keep Panty as well............ see I can't make my mind up. Do you think the FA would let us have them both in goals at the same time so we don't upset either of them, and keep everyone on here onside as well??
