Joe Hart (continued)

Makes absolutely no sense to spend money replacing the best goalkeeper in the Premiership with anyone else. Even if they are better than Joe Hart the difference would be minimal so keep the money and spend it where it's really needed, at centre back.

He hasn't the best goalkeeper in the league this season in my opinion, if anything I think has regressed in the past two seasons.

Problem with Joe is he set such high standards in the PL title wining season that to repeat those perfomances year after year was always going to be difficult, had he done so we would arguably be talking about hands down the best in the world and one of if not the best goalkeeper the PL has seen.

He is still top class no doubt though, but I do think under Pellegrini's sytstem he is going to have to improve his distribution and sweeper keeper abilities.

Great performance today though, well played Joe.

2bh even if he got banned I trust Panty.

Pants is absolute pants. Don't see why he's so highly rated by City fans, harts in another league to him.

Don't agree Pants is pants but how would we keep 2 world class keepers happy (and ultimately employed) in the same squad?

Don't think it's been mentioned but at the start of the game on Saturday, Hart ran over to his goal, in front of the travelling blues, and as he walked into the net to put his towel and bottle down he started trying to motivate the crowd. You could see he was really pumped up, over and over again he was clenching his fists, signalling for the fans to be louder and louder and beating his chest. It seemed to set the tone for the game and after the Kompany sending off it was that kind of spirit and determination that saw us through.

Saturday lunchtime kick-offs can often be a bit flat but Joe made sure the City fans were in full voice from the word go. I'd suggest it also meant words were said before the game, in the dressing room, about just how much it meant to get the result on Saturday, the performance indicated the rest of the side were just as pumped as Joe and that bodes well for the rest of the season, in my opinion.

I really like Joe's attitude on the weekend. His pre match approach was perfect and probably set the tone for the game. As stated crowd and players are often half asleep during these lunchtime games, and Joe made absolutely certain that this was not going to happen.

Keep up the power and the passion Joe. It's good to see.
