Agreed, the fact that Kolarov who rarely seems to give a f@£k and was atrocious in that defeat to Southampton last season is now being lauded as creating 'great team spririt' with his team huddles is just laughable.

If Pep says, then it must be right, right?

Actually when it comes to Alex most say he seems a decent bloke from the city tv clips, but a bit of a useless bugger on the pitch, so it's not a new thing to praise him for that, still bobbins as a defender.

On Joe I never expected he would be one Pep would be looking to get rid off, because of all this "he loves the club" guff, but if honest I feel quite indifferent about it, not like last month when it looked like Zab was going and I was gutted, but then I guess I don't regard joe in the same way as zab or sergio.

I would like him to stay, but if not then so be it. Thank you for the good times and good luck,

But if I listed my 5 fav city keepers he wouldn't be in it, not because I don't like him but I have had more affection for ones who have performed heroics behind some very poor defences compared to what he has had (bar last year).

I understand where you're coming from, really, but blood and guts only get you so far.
When did you last see Messi screaming his head off? I'm not saying it's a bad thing to scream with passion (or anger), but you can win games without it.
And if Real Madrid came in for Joe tomorrow, I suspect he'd be very tempted to go. Would he really stick around at City?

United bought RvP - Mr Arsenal, and he effectively won them the league. The right player with the right skills and it resulted in a PL title. I don't think he'd run through a brick wall for them though.
It was in response to him saying Pep sold Eto and the like and brought in pedro, who had less ability but would run through walls. Just saying you can question Joe's ability on the ball, but not his commitment

Clearly all you care about is winning then? For me personally, football will always be more about the passion than the glory. Winning and playing well is great but I don't just support City because of that. I go because they're my local team and I'm passionate about Manchester and my community amongst other reasons. It therefore, is not the same if we have players who seemingly don't even have a slightly similar outlook to City as I do. If that's all 'sentimental mush' to you then there's obviously no real point having a debate. No wonder our atmosphere is dreadful, it seems our fans care solely now about winning. Who does that remind you of?

Any world champion with ambition and aspirations of greatness?

I tell you what the atmosphere would be 100x better if we didn't have tits singing "don't sell Hart" trying to create divisions in the fan base.

Maybe we should all just get behind the boss and the players on the pitch who have obviously shown their ability to stay fit and listen to instructions.

Something has been wrong with this crop of players for 5 years, time to put it right and that will probably involve rooting the old guard out.

In 5 years we'll all be singing Jesus Navas songs and John Stones songs.

Our players aren't born and bred City fans, they are professionals and all they should care about is winning. They're not from Manchester and probably have very little in common with me. I don't much care if they stay behind to clap the fans but it seemed to me that they did that after the Sunderland game more than I remember them doing last season.

Fully convinced some would rather we lose games with Hart in goal than win games with Bravo in it..Cant wait for every goal Bravo concedes for them to say,'Hart would've saved that..'

People have been singing that song every game for seasons, long before Guardiola was appointed, so I don't see it as meaningful or a big deal really.

We're all sentimental about City - it's why we are here talking about it, even if a bit too passionately sometimes!
But I think we also sometimes get too attached because it's what fans do. We THINK players feel the way we do, and 99.99% don't.

Of course winning isn't everything, you're right about that, and I really don't like some of the very nasty stuff people have said about Hart. Certainly discuss some of this strengths and weaknesses, but there's no need for the nastier 'he's a ****' stuff. But still at the end of the day, the club is aiming to become one of the greats and we have a long way to go. To get there WE (or rather Pep) has to pinpoint our weaknesses and resolve them, and that's going to mean we lose a lot of players we like.
If any fan ultimately doesn't think that's the right path, and prefers to just buy into a local community club, that's fair enough. They can watch Stalybridge or something, but even at that level, they'll eventually come across the same issue - ditching a popular player for another.

For me, the trick is thinking fondly of many players who played a part along the way, but REAL point of supporting this club is to just enjoy the journey. We may have a destination we never actually reach, but we should just each remember those we liked along the way, and forget those we didn't, and look forward to the next match! That's it.

Great job Joe Hart - I thought you did damn well for us. That's it for me!

I go to home games every season and have been to some european games and I have never heard that song in my life.

Guardiola would get really pissed off at this post. You should read his book.
I have read two books. "Another Way of Winning" and "Pep Confidential" and believe me when I say thay if it looks like Tiki Taka then it probably is Tiki Taka.
So many times we passed the ball around the pressing defenders rushing and I was then expecting a Killer Pass, but no they stopped and allowed Sunderland to reform the 2 banks of 4 in front of them. Still early days.
