I feel bad for Nastasic. He read the flight of the ball, had Torres in his back pocket, and then he looks forward and what does he see? Fucking Joe Hart running towards him at full pelt. He probably thought "fuck, not you again." What is he supposed to do? If he hesitates Torres might run past him. Hart is the senior player, which makes it even worse.

This was exactly how I saw it at the match, Nastasic was in control of the situation - all Joe had to do was wait on the edge of his 6 yard box to collect the back header. It's worrying that this keeps happening, remember the Blackburn game 3 or 4 years ago when he charged out for no obvious reason and it led to a goal? Then I put it down to inexperience but by now he should have learned a bit of composure in those situations.

Ah right, that's what you were referring to, how do you know I haven't met him ? How do you know I haven't seen him around Manchester numerous times and formed my opinion of him from that as well other peoples opinion of him who've met and seem him around ? Or are we all supposed to accept that because you found him OK, we all have to find him OK ?

Truth is, you insinuated it was down to jealousy, which it isn't, yet you know me far less than I know Joe Hart, so if we're talking of uninformed bollocks my friend :-).

How do you know ;.)

That's not you I chased from our bushes the other night is it ?
Guys guys guys.
I think we are missing the point here by banging on about personalities.
Swaggering cockyness has bugger all to do with this. It's all to do with ability and in Joes case, most likely form (or lack of it!)
He desperately needs to be taken away from the spotlight at least for a while.
He has clearly not been able to play his way out of this sustained period of poor form and should come back stronger if he really is the keeper many of us think he has the ability to be.

oh yeah i'm sure he will read this.

he is a clown, i've been saying it for ages and got banned on here for saying so... well fuck off to every **** who said i was wrong.

we will not win the title with this fucking **** clown in net.

yes i am fucking furious.

It's like josh blue and emo bob all rolled into one.

My only question is what does he actually have to do to get dropped, because Pants must be chomping at the bit to get on.

Looks like a guy who knows he's dropped another big bollocks!

Looks like a guy who really needs his supporters to get behind him to help him through these bad patches. I don't want him to leave.

Agree... Is it going to stop him making the wrong decisions though? He needs to work on it with the coach and all our back 4 or nothing is going to change

Am putting the venom (it's not his "fault" he's not playing well) down to raw emotion after a tough debate, but it's quite easy really.

As I said about 100 pages back on this thread, he could have no complaints about being dropped for some time now given his form. He needs to be dropped.

How he reacts to that is up to him. I hope he gets his head down and wins his shirt back. If he has a big cry about it and wants to move on then so be it - no one player is bigger than the club.

Given his age and his talents he's going to be a great great keeper but that doesn't mean that he's not un-droppable

who needs bad media coverage when we've got supporters that can do a good job of really knocking one of ours. Leave the lad alone, it's not ALL him he does have defenders in front of him. JUST GIVE IT A REST. He of all people gives hiself a hard time.
Ironically if he took notice of those defenders in front he wouldn't keep running out into no mans land

We need to work more on our defence the back four and hart!

What should happen is that hart is told not to come out at all for any long balls and the back four know this so will cover

You can't dictate a keeper never comes for long balls! .. It's down to individual circumstances!
What needs to be cast iron is communication!
Can anyone that was there or watching on TV confirm who made the call, or confirm if any call was made by either Joe or Nasty?
They showed it after the game joe shouts something like keepers ball, but by that time nastastic was moving towards heading the ball....

Thanks for that mate!
I watched it in the pub and really didn't know who called (if anyone).
Regardless, Joe looks at fault as Nastasic has little option but to head it!

He needs time on the bench! Would do him good and reaffirm he's not guaranteed a start!
That may be half the problem!
We've seen this before with another keeper called Joe!
Turned out to be one of our best! .....and those calling him a **** need to remember the times he's got us out of the shit and not be so bloody disrespectful to a City player!
I doubt you'd call him that to his face!
The right thing to do now is put Pants between the sticks!
There's been a noticeable dip but Joe is still young as keepers go and he'll learn and improve his decision making! I certainly wouldn't be getting rid at this point!
Yes!, he's dropped a very noticeable bollock but so did Torres an hour before he became a Chelsea hero!

Good post. He's made a mistake but some of the venom on here is disgraceful
