Pudge ,Hope your right at Joe becoming the best and hope he achieves it at City, think he is already one of the best around now but honestly its hard to judge truthfully as i watch so much of City I dont see much of others so may be slightly City biased.

I love Joe as much as the next guy, he's a great keeper more often than he's not.

But there's more than one great keeper in the league and it's just opinions as to who's ranked where really.

In your opinion, Joe made twice as many errors as Cech last season

But that does not mean that Cech is better, Joe definitely made some errors last season and there was a lot of focus and negativity on that aspect despite the fact that his clean sheet and the team overall defensive record was still the best.
Clean sheets are as big an indicator of your defenders, if not more so, than your goalkeeper.

Cech saved 77% of his shots to Joe's 70% while making 44 more saves in total and conceding only 2 more. He also caught 23 more crosses whilst missing the same as Joe (3).

Joe has the potential but Cech is still in his prime

As I said, there was a lot of negativity around Hart's season and statistics and numbers are ever so misleading and change from season to season and we can both use statistics to support our opinion. But ultimately it comes down to identification and appreciation of talent.
Cech is a great keeper and was considered as the best especially during the first Mourinho era but Hart is more talented and a better goal keeper.

I feel as guilty as sin by even hinting at an element of criticism with Joe because I love how well he comes across as a person and of course he is a top keeper....... but.......i've simply not been particularly confident with him in goal for the best part of a year or so. I'm exaggerating of course but it almost seemed as if he'd have three things to do in a game and inevitably one of them would be picking the ball out of the net.

Upon reflection I think it's not so much a question of his shot-stopping ability but more his concentration levels which seem to be lacking.

Dear Joe Hart

Please less adverts and fashion shows and more practise on dealing with crosses and corners. Your shot stopping skills are fantastic but you are not there yet. It takes effort to stay the best and lately we are losing faith in you. Maybe a "Casillasesque" stint on the bench will do you the world of good. We feel you are taking your position for granted.

Re: Dear Joe Hart

Not quite living up to his billing is he??

Still up there with the best but does not deserve a lot of the hype.

Re: Dear Joe Hart

If pellers has the balls he should drop him for the next game. Pants has never looked out of his depth in the very few times he's been selected. Let billy big bollocks concentrate on his dandruff ads.

Re: Dear Joe Hart

plus the rooney support comments.

joe is such a top keeper but i think with pants in the sticks we would have at least got a point today

Hart has had two great seasons after re-joining City, but he's gone backwards this past 12 months. Something has gone wrong with him and he needs taking out of the firing line for a while. Panty has done no wrong, and his height should be more useful to us at places where we know the ball is going to be lumped up into the box. Give him a go Manny.

Why? The goals came from poor defensive decisions - mainly down to ........ I don't think we should single out individuals because the whole defence was in disarray - and all goalkeepers need their defenders to DEFEND. Not Joe's fault today

We are not going to win anything if Hart continues to make the mistakes he is making.

Hopefully he will return to the form that got him in the England team but the team comes first and Pantimillion should be given a chance.

Re: Dear Joe Hart

It is very easy to predict that this ant- Joe hart reactionary nonsense will ensue after this match.People seem to forget that he made a good save in the first half and also made any incredible save before Cardiff scored. The problem is that the soulless, spiritless and leaderless players around him decided to go walk about and allowed kim? to basically stroll around the edge of the box- he went backwards, forwards, then backwards, and forwards ago and no city player took that responsibility to get a tackle in. When Joe Hart then made the save. nobody was tuned in around him to attempt to make a clearance, they all stood there watching.

The match was very poor but it really began to unravel when Pellegrini started making strange decisions, first to remove Navas and then to put in Milner who I actually blame for the second goal. He was in front of the Cardiff player and was not interested or aware enough to realize that he had to put more pressure on the Cardiff player but he did nothing and just left him when the ball was put into the box. Joe hart also should have protested as he was clearly being impeded by the Cardiff player.

The organisation and decision making in the set pieces were very worrying indeed but I really don't see any real reason to perpetuate the negativity that Joe Hart seems to be getting at the moment. The goal keeper is not the problem.

i have faith in joe, he actually saved our ass on couple of occasions tiday, he needed more games in the preseason, so his edge is not the best at the moment.

Re: Dear Joe Hart

I think the city defence was collectively poor, not just Joe. He made mistakes as did, Zab, Clichy, Garcia and Lescott. Just because he is the goalkeeper, the spot light is on him.
