I love Hart I am his strongest supporter but I think he was better when he had competition and was fighting for his spot. I do not want to see you walking up and down the cat walk and in shampoo adverts when you have not perfected your craft. Personally I think he needs dropping both for club and country. He s complacent, Mancini said it and I agree 100%.

This is not knee jerk either he has been average since last season and cost us vital points.

This.

Joe's a good keeper, but all this talk of being one of the best in the world is way off the mark.

Maybe in a couple of years if he knuckles down and LEARNS FROM HIS MISTAKES.

Being a goalkeeper can be a very lonely job at times, a lot is to do with confidence, so we should be behind him, not slagging him off.

Come on Joe............

He's out of form recently. Don't think he's out of talent mind. He does need to be challenged for his place in my opinion though

He has been out of form for nearly a year, bar that impressive performance against Dortmund and first half of Madrid away.

I think we're looking at the same problem from different ends.

I see Dortmund, Madrid and a few games in the season before as extraordinarily good form. The rest is his normal form.

You guys seems to see Dortmund, Madrid and a few games in the title winning season as normal form and the rest is bad form.

I think we need to be realistic here and say that Hart is not showing signs that he would be the player that we expected him to be 2 years ago.

Re: Dear Joe Hart

Apparently, David Platt has said on Al-Jazeera that if Mancini was still at City, Joe would have been sold, as they had decided to sign Begovic.

Mignolet would have been the better choice, the dippers have got a belter.

I've watched both their games and he has made mistakes at crosses which went unpunished - remember Stoke hitting the bar in 1st half last week. That came from Mignolet error. He's a good keeper, but all keepers make mistakes. And Hart is one of the best

Re: Dear Joe Hart

Looked like he had moon boots on for their second. Zaba was poor though for both of those set plays.

I don't think it would hurt to give Costel a go as Hart seems to have a mistake in him all too often at the moment.

Is it possible he is making those in front of him a bit nervous?

Dont think any City fan wants him to fail, just needs to get his head straight and concentrate on what he is paid to do.

Re: Dear Joe Hart

Not saying he's not up to scratch but needs to be dropped v Hull. Panty is more than capable and deserves his chance.

Re: Dear Joe Hart

Seem to remember him having a poor run of form before putting in that performance against Dortmund last season

As the saying goes, form is temporary, class is permanent.

Perhaps a little bit of complacency setting in?

Re: Dear Joe Hart

Good old Micah..Mr injury prone himself sticking up for his buddy.

How does fuck off sound. He is no way the best keeper in England. He may be the best English keeper (of that I am not sure at the mo) but best keeper in England!! LMFAO

Re: Dear Joe Hart

Started to believe his hype.

He can be the keeper we saw a couple of years ago but he needs major competition.

Make or break this season for him in my opinion, two bad seasons from any other outfield player and he would be out the door, so the same applies to Hart.

The manager has said he has faith in him so he is hardly likely to drop him for the next game is he. I am sure Joe knows and I trust the manager will have said that mistakes like that are just not acceptable.

It's no time to panic and when he made that point blank block I bet there were not shouts for him to be dropped.

The change to zonal marking might take time to bed in.It clearly didn't work today as two goals came directly from it whereas I don't remember many coming as a result of zonal.Plenty of worrying situations but not many direct goals which is exactly what happens when a marker switches off.

We were not good today.Ok going forward but poor defensively and this season was always going to be defined by how well we defend.Hopefully we will learn how to and quickly.

I think the city defence was collectively poor, not just Joe. He made mistakes as did, Zab, Clichy, Garcia and Lescott. Just because he is the goalkeeper, the spot light is on him.

you are totally wrong

the spotlight is on him because his all to frequent mistakes are costing us Games but their will be people on this forum defending him as the best keeper in the world when he in fact is not even the best keeper in Manchester

Then he went reverted to being poor again.

Madrid away first half and Dortmund at home were the only decent shows Hart put on last season.

Two free headers.

But yeah, all Joe's fault.

Bollocks.

I like Joe, I do, but have you ever seen him come and claim a ball through a crowd of players crom a corner?
