John Guidetti: 20 goals and 6 assists in 23 for Feyenoord

Re: John Guidetti: 11 in 12 for Feyenoord

My dutch mate (Feyenoord supporter) sent me this in a FB conversation:

Yeah sure! He's an amazingly hard worker, he is the kind that likes to interact with the fans a lot too it's what gets him to be very popular here.
His key ability's must be he's a clinical striker, he can find the net without having an eye on the goal trough-out the whole time, he is not selfish, he is a strong guy not very fast but can still dribble past an opponent well. Sometimes it seems like he is more refined? than many of the players around him and his best runs aren't seen enough by our other players.

One of his weaknesses is the fact at times he gets a little to sparky and needs to get a little more 'smart' in that to avoid getting send off (has not happened so far) but at times you can almost see it coming. I cant really give you any weakness yet because in the first season half he has not really had a game where he played bad in. He always scores a 7 at least.

There are some videos on him on the channel 'EredivisieLive' the channel of our league. If you search on that with his name you mind find some material about him. He's a great player and will surely reach the top no doubt. I wonder how the second half of the season will go, but he's been very consistent so far. :)

Well, Blobby Fowler was never quick, was crap in the air but he was clinical in front of goal (in his early years anyway). All you need from a 4th/5th striker given the service our midfield provides.

I thought he was on a season long loan, doesn't appear so. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back for January for insurance and maybe goes out on loan again after Feb. He won't need to be registered so that's a definite plus.

John Guidetti has joined Feyenoord on loan for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old Swedish striker, who bagged 17 goals for City’s Elite Development Side last season, has previously had spells with IF Brommapojkarna and Burnley.

He made his only senior appearance for City so far in the Carling Cup away to West Brom last September. Feyenoord, managed by Ronald Koeman, currently lie in fifth place in the Dutch Eredivisie table.

Re: John Guidetti: 11 in 12 for Feyenoord

According to Dutch media, we have over 10 clubs lining up wanting to loan him (next season).

And the rumours that Arsenal want him persist, luckily we got him locked down to a new contract in summer.

I hope Guidetti will stay in Rotterdam. I'm a feyenoord and city supporter. For more then 14 years i'm coming over to watch Man City. I've always a great time in Manchester. What could be better to create a better friendship between two great teams, to start with a player like John Guidetti. The guy is always motivated when he's playing and one with the supporters. He's an important player for Feyenoord on this moment...MCFC/Feyenoord Till we die greets from a Dutch Blues.

The Arse link is popping up constantly, it'd be a bit depressing if we sold him in favour of another £30m striker, but I don't think we will make that mistake/

I really hope this lad comes back next year and we can have good look at him he sounds like a decent player and would be a shame to give him away for nowt and maybe turn into the sturridge debarcle all over again but i hope not.

If you're over 25 turn off the sound.

Bit of footage of JG, looks at home there.

What was the point of that article? Was someone at the mirror bored?
