John Guidetti

Valencia was their best player last season but he is very much out of form in this one.. most of rags think he's their worst player this year.

The number 7 shall be cursed since Owen.

So your saying Baconface is wrong as he always says that you need 4 top class strikers. I don't understand why some are obsessed with getting Guidetti in the team when you could have a Falco, Lorenta or Soldado?

Do you consider Welbeck and Hernandez "top class strikers" then because I don't. United for me have two top strikers (one of whom seems to have been converted into something of an attacking midfielder), Van Persie and Rooney, and two sufficient rotation options who don't seem to mind warming the bench when asked.
To be fair to Hernandez he's a very dangerous player. Pacey, good finisher, good in the air. He's one of only two United players I'd have at City (Valencia being the other).

Hernandez is a typical rag substitute who cashes in on teams crapping themselves in the last 20 mins v Utd.

When he starts a game, he is dogshit.

Reminds me of Dzeko

Think when he eventually gets a chance he might have been hyped a bit too much personally

I really don't see how people here are saying we have '4 top class strikers'. We don't. Balotelli is nowhere near a 'top class' striker. He obviously has talent to match the best strikers in the world, but his attitude and mentality undermine all that to the point where Bernardo 'effin Corradi would probably be more effective than him for us right now.

If he's fit, I'd say give Guidetti a run out against Reading.

give him a go for a home game against a team near the bottom.

we can always bring him off if he does shit.

So let me get this right? We are proposing that Guidetti is better tan Dzeko & Balotelli based on his time in Holland?
I'm sorry but Dzeko would be a 40 goal a season man in Holland. Has proven himself in both England and Germany.
Are we not passed this grass is always greener mentality?

Dzeko has proven himself over nearly 2 full seasons. There were very few players in the league to score more in open play than Dzeko last season. While he looks a little sluggish when he starts, it was proven last season if he gets games he scores goals. He also gets goals from the bench.

I doubt that Guidetti would EVER be capable of a performance like Edin put in at Spurs, that Edin can do that yet often struggles would just show how hard it is to be a hit in the Premiership.
Dzeko is a 15-20 a season man in the Premiership based on this and last season, that's with limited starts and mainly time off the bench, are we saying Guidetti would be as prolific? I doubt that highly.

As for Balotelli, Guidetti is not much younger and again I doubt he'd be capable of performances like Mario's against the rags. I think those quick to slag Mario are not forming their own opinions, but rather just reading the red tops.

Mario is only 22 and has scored vital goals and performed to a World class level on several occasions. I would never argue that his mentality needs to change, but I often feel sorry for him, he literally can't touch an opponent without be carded. West Brom being the latest proof of this.

I would like to see Guidetti succeed at City, but those touting him as a replacement for two established top quality strikers are doing so in blind faith in my opinion. They would also no doubt be the first screaming to make a change the first time he misplaced a pass or didn't score with every touch.

I believe our strikers have the perfect blend, maybe lack a little pace but Jon is hardly going to improve this. Those wishing for change, do so with nothing but boredom in my opinion. John Guidetti would not get 15-20 Premiership goals if he were given equal opportunity to Dzeko.

not everyone is suggesting he's better than either dzeko or balotelli.

but why not give him a try? has balotelli even scored this season? i know he hasn't played that much but he still has looked poor.
