There's some talk on twitter (yes I know it's twitter) that Villa are in talks to loan him, as well as Sunderland.

I agree. Sunderland will also be a good destination for him because Martin O'Neill is excellent at man management and motivation. A season there should see what he's made of.

I was thinking much the same thing. Possession-orientated football, almost guaranteed to feature regularly (he is better than Franco di Santo after all) and if he can score for Wigan, he can probably score for us.FantasyIreland said:Wigan/Martinez would be my preference.
