With the caveat that - for me anyhow - Stones' biggest weakness was lack of judgement/concentration. He'd be having a great game, and then he'd - for example - make a square pass across midfield - intercepted and leading to a scoring chance for the opposition. Or he'd try to play out under huge pressure with no good passing options - leading to a dangerous turnover.

The biggest improvement in Stones' game this year has been cutting out the bonehead mistakes - currently, he's very steady, maintaining his excellent passing skills, while cutting out the huge mistakes that have hurt him in the past.
 
he's just brilliant. I can't remember I've ever seen such a stylish defender. He and Ederson are the coolest guys on the planet when they are pressed in front of the goal. They just don't give a shit and get out of dangerous situations like it's nothing.

If you expected anything other than that setup from the opposition than you probably shouldn’t watch most of the rest of our season.
