Let's just hope we remembered to recover Aguero from his back pocket before he heads down to Chelsea.

How's your boy Denayer doing?
This is hardly ground breaking news.....but,to make a post like that .....you are not a City supporter.

Showing yourself up there. It's bad enough making a "told you so" post, but to make one which is a load of bollocks makes you look foolish.

Don't take this the wrong way please, but you are a complete fucking arsehole. Aguero in Stones back pocket ffs???!!! Just because he didn't score in a game you come out with that shit. And but for saves by Howard he could have had 3, nothing to do with Stones

What absolute pathetic pile of sneering fucking shit. Taking delight in one of our kids getting flirted to fucking Turkey because we've spent 30 mil on another cb, & you think that makes you look better ? What an absolute arsehole.

And City had more fucking ball in Everton's penalty area than the usually get v fucking Burnley. And how many chances did Aguero miss ? If John Stones was the fucking goalkeeper or the right back, you might have a fucking leg to stand on, but he was the **** chasing fucking shadows in the middle.

And which stupid **** was it stood half asleep, picking his fucking nose, yards behind the rest of the back 4 playing City onside when we scored ? Oh yes it wasJohn fucking Stones.

Knobhead.

Have a snicker, you'll feel better mate... Haha!

For the sake of being pedantic, the same logic could be applied to Kompany's once-seemingly elite defensive capability, and that perhaps it was Mancini's system that made him appear better than he actually is.

Cahill shone at Bolton to the extent where Capello recommended him to Milan. He's not world class, but is a very good defender who would have been a fantastic signing for us; since Chelsea picked him up for relative peanuts, we've spent around £50m on Demichelis, Mangala and Nastasic without really finding a solid replacement/upgrade for Lescott.

Terry has excelled under numerous managers for over a decade at the very top level, and his personal accolades include being selected for the 2006 World Cup 11, UEFA team of the year 2005,07,08 and 09, the FIFPro world 11 every year from 2005-2009, and the UEFA best defender 3 times, twice of which weren't under Mourinho's tactics. The fact Kompany has looked so average in Europe just underlines that he's a class below Terry, and that's being kind. Narrowly missing out on his signing in 2009 was a shame because six years later and he's still the best in the league; it would have been £50m well spent.

The Everton team Stones has excelled in is hardly renowned for it's Catenaccio; they play with two attacking fullbacks, a fairly high line and embrace a pass it out from the back philosophy similar to ours. He'd fit in here seamlessly.

Pellegrini's set-up isn't ideal, but it's Mangala and Demichelis' interpretation of it that causes problems; if your default position in the system is high, then your first instincts should be maintain and retreat, not go chasing the ball. Pique and Godin have flourished in Europe with a higher line, and both are modestly paced; they're just more measured in their approach to executing it.

I started to read your post, then you lost me by lauding Lescott and saying Demichelis was not an upgrade. I'm guessing you don't believe passing and organisation are relevant. Quite frankly who cares who Chelsea buy. John Stones has the potential to be very good but I wouldn't change our first three centre backs with anyone. Vinny played most of last season with injuries, some minor granted, yet he only plays one way and that relies on being fully fit - Unfortunately Mangala needed some time, which I suspect would happen to Stones at Chelsea as he adapts to a different style. Terry has had the fortune to play in a system that protects the defence which is why Chelsea, Hazard apart, have been mind numbingly boring to watch. Also not a good idea to suggest that Stones had Sergio in his back pocket without losing all credibility.

Why do these fuckers insist on infiltrating another team's forum to make sarcastic remarks.... opposing fans are welcome for me unless they are this type who always come along balancing their arse on their shoulders

Small time
