Chelski have been bleating but the player himself, well his silence is deafening.

Agreed pam, remember guys this is the chelsea captain and not a word very strange imo.
I also thimk it's strange. but he did come out and commit himself to chelsea last time we bid for him, maybe he just doesn't feel the need as cfc have said he is not for sale at any cost..
i think it will run to the end of the window this one..

The thing is mate city have told chelsea the offer staying on the table and the papers are even reporting of a further bid so it's obvious to JT that if he doesn't break his silence then the rumours will persist and intensify, i'm sure chelsea wont be impressed with that.

Not sure what choice Chelski would have. Contracturally they are not obliged to let him go but players never stay where they don't want to be. I'm not saying Terry is willing to consider a move (although it's interesting that he hasn't said anything about the matter) but if someone is offering him £3000,000 per week (which is another "if"), I don't see him wanting to turn it down. Or am I wrong? Has there been a comment from the player or his agent?

£3M a week's a bit much, mind you if that's what it takes...:0)

Could this have not gone in the 90 odd page Terry thread?

It could have but when a thread gets to that many pages it usually descends into drivel. The Mods will probably merge it anyway.

My thoughts excactly.

Re: £300 grand a week for terry..£40 mill bid.

Signing JT would instantly make us a 'player'. Not only would he sort out the defence, the guys a winner and a talisman, but what a statement it would be. The big 4 would have to take us seriously. This signing, if it happens, would instantly change other clubs perceptions of us.
Gareth Barry and RSC already signed, if we can sign Tevez, Eto'o, and JT, fuck me thats a statement and a half, the big 4 would happily take at least 3 or 4 of those players.

I just don't understand people who don't want JT. Forget about the money, it's not an issue. Let everyone else worry about how much we spend, it's not our problem.

Re: £300 grand a week for terry..£40 mill bid.

I don't care how much they pay him. I am shallow.
