Tit for tat maybe with regard to Sturridge.

Very possible:

Talks took place between Garry Cook and Peter Kenyon, the chief executives, with Chelsea believing it was only about young striker Daniel Sturridge.

But Cook took Kenyon by surprise when he tabled a formal offer for Terry - even though the club rejected a similar such approach last season.

Re: Chelsea reject Terry offer

had a look on a couple of forums and don't think many of them realise its happened .. cos no one has mentioned it apart from 1 person and the story broke at 22.43 apparently .. maybe they're all tucked up in bed ..

Stick another couple of zero's on the offer and see what they say.
For argument's sake, let's say we offered £35,000,000. Two more zeroes would make it £3,500,000,000 - three and a half billion pounds. That sure would be a statement of intent. Chelsea would accept, but is anyone really worth that sort of money?

Well we know Terry isn't the type of player to ignore such media headlines so be prepared to hear him come out and say how he is 100% committed to Chelsea. Anyone know what the Chelsea fans make of this?

SSN isn't Live now. It's on a loop until 6am. So the Terry news wont "break" until then.

That's brilliant. Kenyon really is an odious specimen.
