i think terry is engineering his move here, funny how things work out he looks the most possible move to me out of the three

at nearly 29 years old, this is total waste of money imo. lets get someone with less miles on the clock and less likely to break down. havent we got enough players with a track record of spending more time on the treatment table than they do on the pitch. i know hes a good player but ffs.

real madrid arnt buying injury prone 28 - 29 year olds, you cant build a team around this type of player

Normally i would agree mate but with money being no object i think it would ba a great signing.

Born Winner and leader is just what we need and i dont think he is ready for thr knackers yard just yet.

If he wants in at City, get him.

We will also be weakening one of our rivals by doing this and i dont think that is lost on our owners, in fact by bidding and JT knowing jst what we are offering the rest of the Sky 4 know that if they dont start to match our offers we will get whoever we want.

Its a win, win for me mate.

Mind you he could tell Chelsea...sell me now whilst you will get the money because next year I'm buying myself out and you'll only get £13.5m!

What's the latest you've heard with regards to Tevez, Eto'o and Terry down your end URG?

I've heard nothing from any of my sources for almost two weeks now. Although I am waiting for updates from two of them (one at City one in national media).

The last I heard was:-

1) When several folk were going on about Eto'o done deal my pal said that negotiations were ongoing.
2) When several folk were going on about Tevez done deal my pal said problems with Kia Joorabchian wanting a huge big payment (bigger than City were prepared to say).
3) When the Terry stuff came out...my pal said Wayne Bridge was contacted by JT back in Jan with a message for Hughes saying get him out of Chelsea.
4) My pal at City is adamant that Lescott was shown around at City three or four weeks ago (I posted at the time). My guess (this is me speculating/ guessing)...is that Everton have to get a replacement in before they allow Lescott out...Mbia turned them down earlier this week which suggests to me that Everton are actively looking for another CB.

That's it...nothing earth shattering nor speculative etc etc. A bit boring it all looks spot on so far.

I just can't help getting worried about these big deals when they drag on and on... they usually result in a bad outcome.

Let us know when you hear your freshly baked news URG!

Cheers mate.

Speaking of ITKs - I got excited earlier at the thread from SM123 re Terry putting in a transfer request - just wanted to check to see if he has come back with any updates and cannot find the thread - as something happened????

Its got nothing to do with age. If he does sign the experiance for Ned and Micah playing / training with him will be great

imo it has but has, i said its also the injuries and the fact it takes longer to get over
them. i know its not our money but hughes has still got to be responsible with it. anybody who thinks the transfer pot is limitless is deluded. buying a player with perhaps 3 years remaining of his playing career, for the kind of money banded about, plus wages and bonuses, plus signing on package is imo irresponsible

oh yeah mate well it doesnt take a lot to take half hour out of your holiday to phone your agent tell him to grab a pen and paper take down a statement and release it to sky sports news now does it? unless hes on holiday somewhere that doesnt have phones.

theres a post that always sticks in my mind.
someone said garry cook had said something along the lines of 'wait till you see who we sign next'.
could JT be the one??
More to the point he said 'if you liked Barry then you'll like this one'
I instantly thought of Terry when that was said, I think GC thinks there is a big chance of this happening.

Maybe he doesn't want to deal with it till he get's back? Or maybe he wants to be the one who tell's everyone that his a chelsea man?

A History Lesson for all you whipper snappers....How old was Tony Book our most Succesful ever Captain.......Answer 31

yes and he wasnt on the wage structure that terry would be on or cost anywhere near the 30 or 40 million or what ever, it would cost us to get him, also his injury record when city bought him from plymouth argyle was excellent compared with john terry`s. whipper snapper indeed i wish i was.
