Calm down. (I know it had been posted earlier.)

But it's recycled from days ago. Its a rehash 'cos there isn't enough solid news around.

Manchester City will make a sensational last-gasp bid to sign John Terry by offering the Chelsea captain £1million a month in wages.

Chelsea are growing in confidence that they can strike a deal to keep their talismanic central defender, but Mark Hughes has been told by City's owners to land the England captain 'no matter what it costs'. They would even be prepared to pay £50m to prise him from Chelsea.

What would be making Chelski "grow in confidence"?

I think he will stay at Chelsea and i'm resigned to that fact. His comments of making an annoucement soon just to me think he will end up staying, otherside he would of just said nothing (but who knows?).

The positive side? Well his getting quite aged and his injury proned. I'll keep telling myself that to soften the rejection hah! Whatever way it will work out for us, we have the money to buy another quality defender and maybe not this year, but it'll happen with our new revolution.

John Terry hasn't made those comments, Anchelotti has.

This is the same paper that said Chelski would hijack the Tevez deal; United and City were going in for Torres, Eto was going to end up with United (ditto Benzema and David Villa); Adebayor would be going to Chelski etc etc. Load of crap.

What we are hearing is that John Terry has told some of his Chelsea team mates of his intentions about joining Manchester City. We are not entirely sure about this. John Terry wants to come but Chelsea are doing everything to keep him. We also know that he has been interested in a move to Manchester since January and has had numerous talks with Manchester City representatives. Djelanomcfc

Glad Terry is staying at chelsea, he used us for a payrise, suppose we gotta get use to players doing that!!

I know its the guardian but..

'But he departed the stadium saying he would speak "very soon" on the matter.'

JOHN TERRY has agreed in principle to stay at Chelsea and reject the chance to join Manchester City. Negotiations over an improved deal will take place once Chelsea return from their pre-season tour of the United States.

We need to go for Bruno Alves now, and forget about Terry. We have wasted too much time with him. Lescott needs to be signed ASAP, and Bruno Alves or Pedro Geromel from Cologne could partner him.

Totally agree, Bruno Alves would be a great option.

Part of me is gutted it's not looking good but i can't help thinking 40m+ and 1m a month is just too much for Terry...

Just hope les has got his backups on order if the Terry deal does fall through it will add another 5m onto the Lescott deal if thats a goer?

Come on Les move on and sort out the defence i'm getting a tad nervous we will be kicking off at Blackburn with Dunne and Richards as centre backs.

Don't worry, we still have Tal Ben Haim as a cover.
