They will get back from america and there will be a big announcement that he has agreed a new deal and i will bet he will say "i was never going to leave, Chelsea are my club"

but for him to make a press conference means he was considering it even if it may have been for money and surely thats not gone down too well with the rentboys ?

either way we may have done damage to chelsea/JT over this and thats not a bad thing.

oh and fulhamroad22........you can go back to the chelseashed forum and copy/paste this back like you did last night ;0)

Mate, I don't and have never posted on the Chelsea Shed forum and wouldn't be so anal to copy and paste what people say on here.

If you want to know where I do post, synavm on CFCNet. It's the only Chelsea forum I post on.

If we can get Lescott next week we're perfectly set to start the season.

We might get a couple more up to deadline, hopefully before the first game but with just Lescott we have an awesome starting XI to kick off.

Hopefully tomorrow.

Is this the only source for all this bullshit? What a load of codswallop.

Just cos they're all saying it doesn't mean it isn't bullshit.

But the thing is, we may have made a bid for Tevez, tried to hijack the deal. You don't know, I don't know. The issue for me is that they exaggerate everything, and that is their job- to be sensationalistic.

The issue for me is they blindly copy each other's lies because they are the laziest bastard journos in history and can't be bothered to make some enquiries for themselves. Any one of us could do their job if the only thing they're going to do is invent bullshit headlines and indulge themselves in ridiculous conclusion jumping. Jesus, these people are ALWAYS wrong. I defy anyone to say otherwise.

And if people didn't swallow this shit hook, line and sinker, perhaps they'd stop doing it and involve themselves in some real reporting.

You're in denial Pam. Even his ghost writer is saying he's staying now.

We'll find out soon enough, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a positive answer. It doesn't look good.

I agree with you, but the reason it happens is to make money. Simply reporting an incident doesn't capture the publics imagination, the job is to exaggerate or fictionalise reports as a way of capturing the imagination of the public and make them part with their money every day.

The newspapers make me sick, especially the Daily Express and Daily Mail, though, that's mainly for their political coverage rather than their sports coverage.

Now we arent so desperate to sign terry so lets just move on if he doesnt want to come, plus ALWAYS remember the berbatov situation last year.

We all wanted him but we ended up with a better player in Robinho, so imo next season we might have kolo toure and lescott in the heart of the defence and that will do it for me.

We would've had Berbaflop as well as Robi.

His ghost writer has said it but Terry hasn'T?! WTF? Which obscure little media outlet is saying that?
Anyone got any links regarding when Terry has said he'll be making an announcement by the end of the week? if someone could do that, I will concede I am in denial but I've seen no reason to change my mind as things stand

It's complete crap so nobody will be able to find a link of Jphn Terry saying anything about an announcement.

At last we can agree on something. Good post, Fulham.

SSN running story of last ditch bid to sign JT at £1m a month wages in papers review

Iam with you pam.. until jt says no thanks ..it aint done ...stick the 40 mill bid in and then see what chelski say

to make you feel better - we don't need him yet, it will be 2/3 years before we become a chimps league side and by then there will be a new Terry and the old one will be in his thirties.

Manchester City will make a sensational last-gasp bid to sign John Terry by offering the Chelsea captain £1million a month in wages.

Chelsea are growing in confidence that they can strike a deal to keep their talismanic central defender, but Mark Hughes has been told by City's owners to land the England captain 'no matter what it costs'. They would even be prepared to pay £50m to prise him from Chelsea.
