joleon lescott

For years our fans have been class. The rags have had it ripped out of them for having shit , arrogant, band- wagon fans. Do we need to worry that in this new era we are also attracting such a type of fan. Yes there are always a few idiots like with Lescott but I fear as things progress these idiots will become more prevelant.

Agreed.

I thought he had an ok game today anyway, seemed to be covering a bit for Nastasic who was anonymous and had the hapless Boyata on his right too. Certainly not culpable for the goal, how about questioning Pantilimon???

Not only for the Blackburn goal but on many occasions didn't win enough in the air for a man of his size and experience. I'm not saying he was the only one as Nastasic didn't cover himself in glory but felt he let a team from the league below us get the better of him. On a bobbly pitch like today he really does make the heart miss a beat when he has to make a pass or control it.

Great player for us in title winning season and will never forget that but his time is up. Not sure what will happen now but can be sure he won't be here next season, especially with Rekik earning rave reviews.

Just don't agree.Watched the goal again and I wouldn't attach much if any blame to him. It's what can happen with zonal marking.Negredo was the man given a specific marking role but switched off when the ball didn't go to Dann.Add a shocking mistake from Pants and ....oh yes it was all Lescott's fault.

I would have him as by a street our best defender today as Nastasic was really awful but because he is young he is allowed so much leeway. He will just have to live with being disliked I guess because he " doesn't look comfortable on the ball"

I agree mate. Some fans can't wait to find someone to blame - it really doesn't seem that they actually watched the game or that they know much about football. True, he's no Vinnie but he rarely lets us down. Great squad player who is going to be driven away by our so called fans.

I just cant get my head round it sometimes- some of our own fans are total cranks!!
The two players they just cant wait to slag off are jolean and Micah - what is it ??

I know he shouldn't be faced with that abuse from a very small number of his own fans but is that any reason for not clapping the rest of the 7,500 ? Same goes for the others who didn't acknowledge us. It's always the same ones who do and the same ones who don't.

Most players live in a pampered world of riches beyond our wildest dreams. They have no idea of the financial hardship it is for many in ticket and travel costs, not to mention free time to go and give them support. The least they could do is to let the fans know they appreciate the effort made.

This has bothered me with Silva for a while now.I absolutely love the guy as a footballer but every time he comes to take a corner and gets a standing ovation he never ever acknowledges the fans, not once. Why?

He does and has, maybe not every time.

I have never seen it.I have a season ticket for the south stand near the corner flag and in every game he is applauded to the rafters but never even looks at us never mind raises a hand in acknowledgment. No problem he does the business on the field but some appreciation in return would be nice.

I thought the goal was Lescott & Panti's fault, which is a pity because I also thought Lescott was the best City defender by a street & without him we would have just folded completely. Often the only player doing anything to defend anything in our penalty area. The rest just hid behind him & left him to it.

The people who give him shit are clueless wankers who know fuck all about football, which unfortunately seem to be on the increase in the days of computer football, which bares no relation to the real thing.

Off in the summer and has done a decent job for us and should be remembered as such.

As many have said the likes of Boyata, Lescott , Garcia and possibly one or two others don't have the skill set to up the anti that will be required in seasons to come for us to be competitive for where we want to be.
