Top draw manager that IMO would stay for 5+ years given the opportunity.

Mancini isn't the man to make is the best team in this league.

I'm surprised you think our fans would allow ANY manager to stay for more than 2 years. Mancini would stay here for 5+ years but the fans are getting itchy feet again.

Unless we sort our collective heads out we're never going to get stability at this club.

Yeah but we a 1000 page thread on Tevez months before he signed. We might not get it right all the time but sometimes our predictions are shit hot!

But that was largely because it came directly from Tevez' agent. He always said City were a likely destination- the world knew he was probably going to City. With Torres, Terry, Eto'o and Mourinho there's been literally nothing that specifically says he'd like to go to City.

I mean I joined these forums to join in in the Terry debate. I still have PMs in my inbox saying that a move to City was 'nailed on', similar story with Torres.

I'm not saying it won't happen, it could and I could imagine Mourinho partaking in the City project but by no means has he chosen City yet.

I've not spoken to a single City fan who believes he's chosen us 100%. But lots of us believe it can and might well happen. Personally, I think you can rule Utd out and it's between us and you.

Oh, and Terry came very close to joining City, there's no doubt about that. There have been several dialogues with Torres too.

There are people on this forum who get information from behind the scenes, don't forget that ;-)

Yes, the most overrated manager in the history of the game.

He did really well 20 years ago in Holland, but since then, has consistently failed at club level.

He is well in with the press though, who continue this stupid narrative of "best manager in the world him". To put it into context, outside of Holland, Howard Wilkinson has won more than Guus Hiddink.

Despite his ridiculous boring tactics and totally weird substitutions I really like mancni.I like his way with the press etc.I Realise also the need to build and for stability and would love to see him here for ten years. The thing that bothers me is what if he is actually no good, I mean of course in the prem as he clearly has a brilliant football brain.
It might be he's another scolari or Ramos, both brilliant football men but both abysmal here.their clubs bit the bullet and said no sorry thought it would work but it clearly isn't let's move on for everyones sake.
You can counter that with Rome wasn't built in a day but we aren't in Rome and someone should tell Mancini that....... for all OUR sakes.

Now that's a brilliant post. It's a distinct possibility this could happen, but sadly only time will tell. As I've said on another thread, for some reason I get the feeling with Mancini this will not be the case though - just wish I could back up why I feel that with some hard facts!

Come on guys, there's absolutely zero evidence he specifically wants to come to City. You guys came up with 1000+ page threads about Terry and Torres based on the same foundations. If it were me, I'd probably want to be a bit cautious. It's still up in the air where Mourinho goes when he comes back to England. Could be City, could be Chelsea, could be United.
