Wouldn't disagree with any of that but I don't think we miss much if we don't get gvardiol and laporte stays ....nothing defining however
We will miss the hunger to win trophy’s . I don’t think alot of people realise that the more trophy’s players win the less motivated they become and now with us winning the champions league the set is complete for a lot of our team and that could have a negative impression on us . Even though I’d be sad to see any of our players go I would be thinking let’s rebuild our team with young hungry world class players who haven’t been in the trophy ride but are itching to I mean already we have kdb out for the start of the season. And we don’t know how he will come back from the injury so straight we should be planning to bring in his successor who could have just gone to liverpool if maybe he is at arsenal . Right back will be Lewis stepping in for Walker I would imagine . Next season is gonna be the hardest title to win and I don’t think we win it .

I fucking love the way our club is run. Most importantly we invariably recruit great players with great attitudes, everyone works together as a team, we set values in our targets and don’t always get them (particularly on day 1 of the transfer window) and the success of our methods is shown by our titles. The only things that grates are the jealous attacks on our club from other clubs, and the pathetic knicker wetters in the matchday and transfer forums, they really haven’t got a clue - usually the same people in both threads

Do you really see us buying Gvardiol for 85m plus?

I certainly don't. It isn't how we usually operate.

Now they have the Szoboszlai money, they don't really need to sell Gvardiol.

They could potentially get 98m when his release clause kicks in, in the summer of 2024... Why would they accept a bid from us of 80m max? They could make easily another 17m on him. Someone will pay it as well, whether that's Man United or Chelsea. City definitely won't pay 98m for him either.

Laporte won't sit there watching another defender take his spot, he just won't. The only way Laporte leaves is on loan and that won't suit the player or City.

I just don't see it happening now from a business point of view.
But we was supposedly buying rice for 90

I'm not panicking at all. If we don't get him, we simply don't get him.

We have a very good defence anyway with very good options.

Doesn't seem like there is much interest outside the premier league for Laporte either so looks like he could stay.

My prediction is: Laporte stays and we don't get Gvardiol.
Put me down for thinking the opposite.
