You can simply just post "I don't know anything" and it will produce the exact same meaning like your post.
I do know that we're yet to complete the signing, despite being in negotiations for almost two months and agreeing personal terms with the player way back. If we're not dragging our heels, what're we doing? Most reputable sources have stated Leipzig want a record fee for a defender, and are resolute in their stance. So if we don't pay that, we won't get him in my opinion. Leipzig are also in a much healthier financial position now szobothingy has been sold.

It's going the way of a Jorginho and Koulibaly; I desperately want to be proven wrong on that because it looks like he'll be one of the very best.

OR could it be that Leipsig don't want to be negotiating with other clubs for Gvardiol's replacement, with them knowing RB have got £90m+ burning a hole in their pocket?

I'm only half-convinced by that, frankly. Other clubs know very well that they will have £90 million (amortised in any case, I take it), whether it's now, or in the very near future. Terms have been agreed between the player and City. That'll be a leverage point anyway. And in any case, they've just received a handsome amount for Szoboslai (and I forget who for the minute, but they've sold someone else this summer for serious money). Nah, they're rolling in it, come what may.
I can only think that they're taking their time, looking around at who's available around Europe, and who's right for them. Nothing surprising. After all, they're in no hurry. They want to be competing for CL qualification, as they have done for the past few years. They'll want to get quality.
I'll say what I said from the start, for what it's worth. Bellingham seemed to me like a long shot, everyone knew his dream was Real Madrid. Rice was and is overpriced (incidentally, if we paid the same price for Gvardiol as Arsenal have paid for Rice, we'd still have done the right thing — but we won't). A couple of years back it was clear that Levy was going to make life very difficult for Kane to go to us. Furthermore, Kane will not go to a direct PL rival. I'd be more than astonished. All of those were unlikely deals, for the above reasons.
By the same token, I'd be more than astonished if this deal doesn't get done.

Nkunku to Chelsea mate, & they're not rolling in it as such. They've been forced to sell their three best players, because they're deep in shit with FFP. That's their burning issue.

After previously sailing close to the wind with FFP in 2017, & current questions over the ownership of RB Leipsig & RB Saltzburg because of both clubs playing in UEFA competitions, Leipsig are back up to their necks in FFP dudu & apparently need to raise €150m this summer, so they don't fall foul of it.

Nkunku to Chelsea - £52m

Szoboszlai to Dippers - £60m

Gvardiol to City - £86m

Total - £198m

Transfer Balance after FFP - £69m

That's essentially what they've got to play with. However, most are looking at the headline £198m figure...
