Never made sense to sign a player for a record fee for a position we already have two players for in the squad already

with no concrete offers coming in for Laporte , its looking like we will have to give him away or send him on loan just to accommodate Gvardiol

makes no business sense to do that

We hope we get the players Pep wants

But the club as a whole don’t want our pants pulling down and having our arse slapped
yes i get that, but they wanted 100m euros from the start, so if it’s too much, walk away.
RB are trying the typical rip-off tactic, if it gets silly we will walk away.
how? are there reports of them raising the price now to more than 100m euros?

Leipzig don't give a fuck. They don't need the money, and next season they will get even more for Gvardiol. We are playing a dangerous game here. Give them what they want or we will fail to get Pep's number 1 transfer target. We can negotiate and walk away from less important deals like we have in the past. This is the one where you just have to pay up and get it done.

With Szobo and Nkunku going to chelski and the dippers that took the financial pressure off them… now they are getting cocky. Cannot see how this was close to a done deal. They are acting like Brighton all of a sudden

Not if the club had overstretched themselves in agreeing Gvardiol's personal terms in the first place. We still have to contend with FFP like the rest.
