Time to persuade Laporte to stay, move on and allocate those 100 mil on two wingers and a RCB.
Will we accommodate that? They have changed the terms of how it is to be paid at the last minute.
They want 90 per cent of the fee upfront. Snidey bastards.
Thank you.KFA? (Does everyone talk in code nowadays?)Rag KFA reporter at the BBC.

there is no release clause this year. i think gvardiol was very clear about wanting to leave, official request submitted and all.I saw that too.
Don't feel like it quite makes sense. Usually release clauses come down (if anything) as the years remaining on the contract reduce. They only usually go up if the player signs a new contract. I've not known them to go up during a contract, but I guess it's possible that his contract says that at certain ages the clause will increase.
And I wondered if it meant the release clause is higher next season than it is now, but that wouldn't make sense as we'd just pay the release clause now probably. So it means next year the release clause is higher than what we are currently offering?
All just seems weird.
Anyway,at least Laporte looks happy in the tour photos I've seen so far.
But the “rumours” are that the selling club are trying to get more …..rumours like every other post. We don’t fall for that. We have a squad that can cope - we’re not desperateWhen we are told the value the selling club puts on a player when we enter negotiations we have 2 options. Walk away immediately if it is over budget and move on to the next target or try and negotiate it down.
Trying to negotiate a fee for months knowing that the selling club isn't going to drop their valuation and then walking away is a waste of everybody's time.
We've had no concrete links to any other player besides Gvardiol.
Surely if we wanted a winger and we wanted a midfield player, we would have seen a lot more links to players?
I know you'll say, but City do things quietly... Well we all knew months before our targets were Bellingham, Haaland, Cucurella etc over the past year or so. That has been very clear.
I personally don't think we will bring in anyone to replace Mahrez (might be wrong). I just don't think Txiki and co fancy any player on the market in that position right now.
