Not worth bumping unless we miss out on Nasri for sure.

Why we would prefer Nasri to Mata is beyond my comprehension.

Maybe because we feel, Nasri would bring us something we dont have currently. And while Mata is a good player, is of the mold of Sliva, and I love Sliva, but its nice to have different type of players, just like how we we different type of strikers. Just a theory.

Could be, but one of the (of not thee) weakest aspect of our squad is the lack of a replacement for Silva. When he is out injured tired or whatever, we are a very reduced side. Mata could step into his shoes and do pretty much what Silva does, though not quite at the same level of awesome quality.

Maybe Nasri could too, but I'm a bit worried by his roller-coaster form curve; he seems to have pretty regular and lengthy falls, and only short periodical tops.
Nasri is good.
Mata is class.

That's unfair (and pretty much untrue). He is getting the blame from some on here for Arsenal's collapse last year it seems, but apart from that few weeks at the end (when his future may have been on his mind, or even being actively discussed) he has largely ranged from at worst good to at best magnificent during his time there - and he was still a kid through much of it.

He will, should we sign him, be a fan's favourite by Christmas IMO and one of those players who suddenly no one can remember ever doubting.

Exactly what we need to compliment Toure and Silva, and able to take some of the creative load off Silva too.

14.38 Inter Milan have bid €15m for Valencia's Juan Mata, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.
Could that prompt Arsenal to make a concrete offer?

Re: Juan Mata is a must

Derisory offer (€15m), it'll take a fair bit more than that. But I'd prefer him to go to Inter than a domestic rival.

15 million Euros!!! Get in there City. Put 23 million pounds on the table and get the guy into training. Far better then Nasri. Let Arse keep him and get this guy.

Arsenal are ready to sign Juan Mata and Santi Cazorla

This week could be the busiest in the history of the transfer market for Arsenal. We firmly expect the whole Fabregas saga to end this week at it is being reported that Barcelona’s vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu is in London this weekend and wants to meet Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis to submit a new £35million offer for Fabregas.

£35million is still short of Arsenal’s £40million valuation of the player but I am sure a deal can be reached by the two clubs. With the money from selling Fabregas, Wenger does not plan to waste any time on spending and it is thought that he will spend all the money on Valencia’s Juan Mata and Villarreal’s Santi Cazorla.

Both players are capable of playing on the both wings or in a more central attacking role. This would give Wenger endless possibilities for our midfield and attack.

What do you think of this link? Is it wise to buy both these players as a replacement to Fabregas?
