Re: Juan Mata is a must

If we did go in with a bid, i'm sure Silva could have a few words. :)

Haha. :)

Tbh, I doubt Silva goes out much anyway. Seems like he keeps himself to himself.

Re: Juan Mata is a must

I'm not convinced that Mata and Silva can play in the same team in the premiership. I know they did it in Spain...but I just don't see this happening at all. Wouldn't be at all surprised if we're not even interested in him this summer...

As for him going to Arsenal - be a very good signing for them...

Re: Juan Mata is a must

That Valencia team was one of the best attacking fronts I've seen in a long time. They had defensive issues all over though.

Re: Juan Mata is a must

I think he will end up at Arsenal or Liverpool, purely because we won't go in for him. I'd imagine he'd favour Arsenal out of the two, unless Pepe Reina has a word with him perhaps. Still think if we bid for him, he'd come here above anyone else (assuming no Barca) - but I don't think the idea of playing with TWO midfielders like Silva on a regular basis, which is what it'd have to be for a player of his quality, is the direction Mancini wants to take.

Re: Juan Mata is a must

Would love him, but i think he will go Arsenal. Which doesnt bother me really, it would mean Fabregas being sold, and he may be a quality player but Arsenals problems lie in Defence, and who ever is inbetween the posts. So he wouldnt improve them, IMO ofcourse. Still would love him, but i want Sanchez and Sneijder too. (And Vertonghen, oh and Baines. Oh and a few lads at the u17s)

If that is true than that would have been a terrible decision on Mancini's part. Not saying Mata is a must but technical players who can pass and move intelligently just has to be the way. Whether it is Mata, Cazorla, Pastore, Jurado, Sneidjer or the like. We have to get a few more player who's strengths are technique and intelligence.

We should bid 20 million for Mata simply to piss Wenger off.

Does that mata?
Lets hope Marwood & Cook aren't as daft as you.............

Re: Juan Mata is a must

If we get Sanchez, he seems to be Barca's #1 or #2 alternative. #1 if Rossi costs too much which he may do. So he could go there if we get Sanchez, which would keep him out of the grasp of English clubs.

Re: Juan Mata is a must

Arsenal have said fabragas can go they will sign him now I reckon.

Re: Juan Mata is a must

Valencia star Juan Mata has insisted that he is not desperate to quit the club.
Mata has just helped Spain lift the European Under-21 Championship, and he is being strongly linked with a big-money move away from La Mestalla.

Liverpool and Arsenal are both understood to be keen, whilst Real Madrid and Barcelona are also thought to be on top of his situation.

But Mata says he could easily remain with Valencia, who are back in the UEFA Champions League next term.

"I want to win a trophy with Valencia next season. I've not planned anything different as I've a contract until 2015," Mata told SuperDeporte.

Reports suggest that, although Valencia want to keep Mata, they are still financially strapped and a bid in excess of £23million could be enough to land him.

Spanish sources claim Real could be ready to offer Pedro Leon in exchange, which again could tempt Valencia.

Re: Juan Mata is a must

Now that Sanchez thread is coming to what seems to be an end, I would love it if we signed this Mata kid. I wanted him more than sanchez before the betting war for Sanchez started.

Whats the differences between the two?
