OHH it reminds me of what normally we are doing. Paying release clause. All roads must lead back to his mum.
Same as Haaland, you convince the parents and you have them in the bag.
She never wavered, despite Ferguson even being wheeled out to give Jude a red carpet tour of the training ground.
I know for a fact Birmingham wanted Bellingham to go to United because they had offered double the fee Dortmund had presented.
It was £37m plus add-ons taking it to £50m.
Remind you of someone else?
It tells me Bellingham also has a clause at Dortmund which is nowhere near the valuation being touted.

So in a fifty/fifty scenario with City having Pep and big Erl he would go to Madrid why?I think jude will go to real Madrid. He ain't going to Liverpool to watch the ball constantly fly over his head. Can't see him fancying Chelsea or utd rebuilds. Barca probably can't afford him. So realistically it's between us and Madrid.
The Real Madrid brand? The money? The weather? The extra publicity? Easier league? Champs league pedigree? The fact kroos and modric are ancient and he can slide right in? Maybe he fancies the idea of working with camavinga and a few of the other youngsters. Mainly the weather though and Real Madrid are a huge name to a young kid.So in a fifty/fifty scenario with City having Pep and big Erl he would go to Madrid why?
So basically money and weather then ! He can have money at city, and if weather plays a bigger part in his decision making than what Pep and City can do for his career, then is he the right player for us in the first place? The Real Madrid brand? I'd love to get jude and his brother at City and usually I'm very positive about our chances in the market, but this one doesn't seem to line up for me. Hopefully I'm wrong.
but madrid offers much more than weather. they are perennial champions league contenders/winners. and their prestige levels are through the roof. madrid may say if all city can offer is money and bad weather then maybe jude isnt the player for them. if and when pep extends that may change a little of course. So basically money and weather then ! That's one way of interpreting their post I suppose...but madrid offers much more than weather. they are perennial champions league contenders/winners. and their prestige levels are through the roof. madrid may say if all city can offer is money and bad weather then maybe jude isnt the player for them. if and when pep extends that may change a little of course.
i know that response is a little combative but you made it sound a little bit like if a player doesn't choose us then he's a nonce.
So true, it's a European round robin with bent rules. For a 19 year old is Madrid vs us the same as what it is for us older ones? A 19 year old has seen City dominate domesticity from the age of 10, any decent footballer knows luck plays a part in winning the champions league.
No I don't think it makes him a nonce , not sure I understand how you make that connection? but if the weather is such a thing that would sway his decision making over the fact he plays with big Erl and gets coached by Pep then you have to question if he is solely into his career and to be the best he could be in his career .but madrid offers much more than weather. they are perennial champions league contenders/winners. and their prestige levels are through the roof. madrid may say if all city can offer is money and bad weather then maybe jude isnt the player for them. if and when pep extends that may change a little of course.

I‘m waiting to see what Paul Meson thinks…. He’s got an eye for a player…. If we’d listened to Paul we could have saved our money and not bothered with KDB.
I wonder where Aldridge and Miggwell dine out?I saw Paul Merson Phil Thompson and Rory Jennings in Burger King the other day
That's Three whoppers right there :-)
I wonder where Aldridge and Miggwell dine out?
okay use of the word nonce was a bit disrespectful given how terrible nonces actually are, so i'll take that last word back.No I don't think it makes him a nonce , not sure I understand how you make that connection? but if the weather is such a thing that would sway his decision making over the fact he plays with big Erl and gets coached by Pep then you have to question if he is solely into his career and to be the best he could be in his career .
yeah in retrospect i was wrong to use the word nonce. some spanish belly seems to have left me with a much reduced vocabulary. now back to my sick bed. That's one way of interpreting their post I suppose...

I'm not sure any club can offer regular champions league winsokay use of the word nonce was a bit disrespectful given how terrible nonces actually are, so i'll take that last word back.
also i don't know if you were referring to and paraphrasing another quote but if i was a madrid fan i would quite reasonably be saying the only reason he would choose city over madrid is money whereas they can offer regular champions league wins.
Of course if we manage to win it this year at last then that argument goes. so fingers crossed.
finally give me a little slack, i've just got back from spain and have brought some energy sapping, butt destroying virus with me
