What seems to be ignored in all of the Bellingham talk us that as midfielder do you want to be coached by Klopp or Pep? Every midfielder that’s gone to Liverpool since Klopp arrived has at best plateaued (Fabinho or Thiago) or struggled like Oxlade Chamberlain or Keita. Their style largely negates the midfielders creativity and focuses more on 3 workhorses.

On the other hand working with Pep as a midfielder must be a dream, KDB, Iniesta, Xavi, Bernardo, Yaya, Busquets, Rodri, Gundogan amongst many others have thrived under Pep.

Whatever about league position, champions league, money or history why does anyone think an any ambitious midfielder would want to play for Klopp over Pep is beyond me.
I'm fairly certain that's been covered once or twice in the last 500 odd pages bud :)

Apologies, I should have made clear I meant talk in the media about Bellingham’s transfer. So far the issue of Liverpool’s midfield being poor but poor as a result of how they set up is largely ignored in any discussion of Liverpool’s current woes.

As a result no one in any discussion (outside of enlightened City folk here and on social media) has asked whether Bellingham would want to play for Klopp. Any decision to go to City or Real is presented as money related. Instead from a football point of view and the position he plays, the smart move is City over Liverpool.

He will not go to Liverpool especially if they don't get CL next season. They just won't pay the fee or wages. RM are still the main rival for his signature.

A few years back, Liverpool fans were saying that a two-year European ban meant City had no chance of signing players. Suddenly European football doesn't seem so important any more and they're convinced that one of the best young players on the planet will be quite happy sitting at home midweek watching BT Sport just for the joy of playing for Klopp. As well as earning less money while having to carry an ageing squad. Utterly Deluded.

Apparently (Talksport pundit Stuart Pierce) this Gibbs-White lad is totally dominating Casemiro. Is he someone we should be looking at as a cheaper alternative to Bellingham?

I bet he’d enjoy having a permanent crick in the neck from watching the ball constantly fly 10 feet over his head as Van Dijk and Konate hoof the ball as far as they possibly can
