Bellingham is a superb player,he has proven that on plenty of occasions.

Judging him on an average game last night, where he could very easily have got on the score sheet and won the game for his team,is harsh and foolish.

No one is judging him on one game.

FDJ is a master.....but Bellingham isnt a pudding when it comes to play making and orchestrating, alongside Rodri and Grealish i think he would be great.

something like......

Alvarez--Haaland--Foden
--Grealish--Bellingham
-----------Rodri----------
-Gvardiol-Dias-Stones-Lewis
My loins like the cut of this team's jib!

He's young enough to mould into whatever we need him to be. He tends to try and get into more attacking areas for Dortmund but when Chelsea blocked that off he came deeper to try and be more influential. I'm sure he could offer more control, but it's the tempo of play that we could have an issue with in that side. You've got a front three and two midfielders who want to make things happen and score or assist every time they're on the ball. Arguably you need someone who controls the tempo more, as Bernardo and Gundogan can do. I think that's been a real issue this season. We either keep it patient too much and ignore Haaland or we play too direct and leave ourselves vulnerable on the counter. De Bruyne was guilty of playing far too aggressively on the weekend. Better to keep the ball at times rather than play a difficult ball just because Haaland is on the pitch.

We have options if we sign Bellingham though and Pep is the best man to mould him. I'd love to see Grealish more central but I wont comment further here in case I get told off by the mods!

100m + does seem very high but if that’s the price then we either pay or move on. De Jong doesn’t want to play in Manchester, we need to realise this. There must be another player we can identify instead of de jong. Very few talented playmakers around it seems.

At this rate, we will be waiting until Dave’s lad is ready to play -:)

Looking at the mid to low teams in Spain might be the way to go.

De Jong stats are shockingly bad. Bellingham.. way overhyped but he’s so young his potential is pretty unknown. We need to line up our next superstar playmaker and not sure who that will be. KDB is going to be impossible to replace.

We rarely replace one to one player, we simply evolve our play over the next year.

Alvarez isn't a winger. Why do people try and force him there?

Cos he's not going to start as a striker as long as Haaland is here.
I wouldn't say that's necessarily true.
Currently, de Bruyne basically plays as a striker/inside forward. A role very well suited to Álvarez.

Out of possession:
Haaland Álvarez*
Grealish Bellingham Rodri Foden
Aké Dias Stones Lewis
Ederson

In possession:
Haaland
Grealish Bellingham Álvarez* Foden
Rodri Lewis
Aké Dias Stones
Ederson

* position normally occupied by KDB
Obviously, ousting KDB could be equally hard to ousting Haaland, however a change in KDB's role isn't out of the question - and he's not getting any younger, if his game drops off significantly (either more so than recently or for a more extended period) over the next few years then Álvarez will have that spot.

de jong is good, i dont really care what the stats say, bellingham is more valuable due to his age and physical tools, he can still be molded by a good coach and is years away from his prime. I would take both/either one and be happy with it tbh

he is smart enough to play anywhere in a front three or even as an attacking mid, already did it for river

his specialty is reading and attacking space, that gets a bit nullified with us because we dont play transition football but with time i believe he can adapt and thrive

He s 19 years of age.

it’s a massive, big fat fuckin Yes from me.
foden was and is twice the technical player Bellingham was at 19 and still is and there was no where near as much clamour around him.....Good player but i think he is being built up to be something (as per usual with young English players) that he is not...no where near as good as the hype suggests at present and not anywhere near the level of most of our current midfielders.
