You should've heard Mark Schwarzer on SSN earlier imploring Bellingham to sign for anyone but City in the Premier League! :-/
He reckons that we're already so strong that if we got Bellingham, we'd win the league season after season, & he wants to see other teams competing for the title instead of a strong City dominating the PL for the foreseeable future.
Where was his concern about PL title hegemonies when ManUre, Arsenal & the Chavs were hoovering up titles throughout their dominant periods? \0/

Both ake and Gvardiol could easily play. Ake left, Gvardiol and Dias in the middle and stones at rb coming inside to midefiepd (which he has done fanstically). That allows a 4 in front with two midfielders basically playing on the front line with haaland and two wide players.Ake deserves to be first choice left back but suspect Gvardiol will be the addition which sees them both rotate on the left side of the three.
It means Stones and Dias then cover each other on the right side of it.

Follows the same pattern as Haaland this one. Club after club distancing themselves, the ”couldn’t afford him” narrative thrown in and then no other realistic options but us left.

So what have you seen in any game where Bellingham has played against a good midfield where he looks like we should be signing for any more than about £60m?Clueless.

Who is he technically better than/level with, as we already have (this is a rhetorical question really because it’s so ridiculous to say he’s technically better than de Bruyne, Gundogan, Bernardo, Foden…)?
I’ve watched him in eleven games this season and in all seven when he played against a good midfield, he was poor, and in a few of those he was genuinely terrible.
