Once a pointer always a pointerEven there the wanker is pointing! Lol
I think you are right. Besides Liverpool's ridiculous 'we dont want him' statement there has been nothing official from anywhere. The only suggestion that city are even interested has come from this thread rather than the club, and Spanish media just make shit up all the time.My opinion is that Bellingham hasn't said fuck all to anybody in the press regarding City or Madrid..I can't really believe that a professional footballer would be so stupid to come out with the bullshit quotes that social media are saying he's said.
I hope we get Bellingham as I think he would be a great player under Pep but if not I'm not unduly worried as I'm sure we will have other players that we will be interested in.
It's doubtful anyone will know what's happening officially until the season is over... hopefully our in the knows have got it right with regards to him being interested in us.

Dream debut and got us all excited, we should have know better from a scouser.Bad thing is I was quite excited when we were signing him?
What an incredible position to be in, City or Madrid at 19 and probably looking to pull in 350k a week for the next 5 years, decisions hey!If he picks Madrid ahead of us, maybe people will understand why we need to win the CL.

I think he will pick the team he considers "bigger". Madrid wins the CL regularly. If he picks them, it won't be because of the weather (miles away from the coast). It will be because he likes their project better. That's why he left England for Dortmund, and it was a very smart move. Most English players do not see the value of playing abroad, but it can be great for them, so it shows intelligence. I hope we give him something to think about when we eliminate Madrid on Wednesday, but it will be a massive challenge. Nevertheless, to attract the best players in the world BEYOND the Pep era, we need to start winning the CL trophy, regularly, like the Madrid cunts. You think he would pick Madrid because City haven't won the CL yet?
Very funny.
So Bellingham is going to lose all leverage he has with regards wage discussions by telling Real Madrid he only wants them and doesn't do plastic clubs...
Sounds legit.
Seriously, the shit people swallow.
Even the BBC have included it on their Gossip page (credited to FourFourTwo). I know they are just reporting what others are writing but to repeat that is very poor judgement.
It's one thing for knob head supporters to use that term but totally unprofessional for press and media to perpetuate such a myth.

Interesting news that City are talking with a "unknown" German club about loaning McAtee next season, I wonder who that team could be!!I think he will pick the team he considers "bigger". We have to accept that we do not have the cachet of Real Madrid. That is something that can take decades to build but it is a gap that we can close significantly in the next several years especially if we can add a few UCL wins, but we need to start by winning the first one this year. Not sure myself he will decide based on which club he considers "bigger". Dortmund was indeed a good move for him, was that because Dortmund was "bigger" than the alternatives? If he prefers the Madrid "project" to City's, then what does size have to do with it? And what exactly is this "project" at Madrid?
He clearly isn't badly advised so I think he will decide on what is best for his career. Just that. And nothing is better than City and Guardiola at the moment, no matter who is bigger or how many CLs have been won.
Still think he will be on his way to Manchester in a couple of weeks despite all the noise. If he isn't, he is a tosser and I didn't want him anyway :)
Where we can agree, though, is that post-Guardiola, whenever that is, we will need some CL pedigree to continue to attract the best players.

What we do have at the moment is the cachet that Pep brings and I have to say that any midfield player that is not drawn to playing for him just isn't serious. That doesn't mean they have to sign for us - there are other considerations - but it has to be a major factor: no one is going to improve you like Pep will.
