Jude Bellingham

If Bellingham was played as a striker he'd be fine imo. When on the ball he'd do his thing, when not he'd bide his time and just be sure to be in the right place at the right time. His swagger wouldn't be an issue then imo.

In any other position you have to be 100% effort 100% of the time imo. Otherwise sit on the bench or stay at home. That said if you are still effective by giving 50% 50% of the time like some genius players were years ago then all's good but those were different days with a different level of physical intensity by the opposition.

Sadly, the internet has become a place where saying something controversial gets clicks and the bbc are following that trend because they know they are not the force they once were.

I saw the headline, thought wtf is this shit, and clicked on it, so it clearly works, but it's funny how there is no comments section at the bottom of the piece.

Ian Wrong says "some people are not ready for a black superstar" which is more than likely true among the minority of racist cunts who follow footy in this land of ours, but bellingham is not and never will be a superstar. he is a mardarse who thinks he is better than he is.

There have been plenty of black superstars. It's been nearly 60 years since Pele and Ali rose to prominence. Bellingham is just a bit of 2hat.

I don't agree with Wright on this and yes Bellingham can be arrogant and annoying at times on the pitch... however the constant abuse at him is an obsession for many, he is clearly being targeted no matter if he plays well or not - Many begrudge him playing well and scoring even for our country. clearly some need to get some perspective. He's a young lad, playing at the highest level for Madrid in which he has been brilliant and he gives his all for England. That's why i want him to do well and continue to push on - he comes across very mature and respectful in the interviews i've seen him also.
 
Just absolute bollox from Wright, I loved what Bellingham was doing and achieving about a year ago, until his arrogance and ego began to emerge. Wright knows damn well Rooney got the same grief if not worse for similar on pitch incidents, so fk knows why he has had to bring race into it.

The backlash against the media worship of Bellingham is as loud as the hype itself. That's what it is.

Opinions of Bellingham are extreme from one end of the spectrum to the other. It's not healthy. Not healthy to have bulled him up as much as he has been so far in the first place and not healthy for there to be so much social media spite towards him in the first place.

It's almost become impossible to talk about the lad because he's become such a polarising figure.

Wrights comments about it are pretty disgusting though tbh, as provocative and distasteful as it gets. The race card belongs absolutely nowhere near the debate on him.

Can remember Eusebio was probably the highest profile player before the 1966 World Cup.
He was a modest, cultured explosive Portuguese player. He was admired by all football fans.
But, the ticket tout is probably remembered as the Player of the Tournament because of a couple of excellent long-range shots...
 
I watched the Ian Wright clip. I think is obvious that certain sections of U.K. and US media do not like popular, successful and outspoken black people - ‘shut up and dribble’ was aimed at LeBron James, we’ve seen the coverage Sterling got for buying a car etc

However, in this case, I think it’s a simply case of Bellingham being a bell end and people noticing now. Rather than 2 years ago when City fans first noticed when we played Real Madrid. No one wanted to hear it then, they called us bitter
 
I think Ian Wright is a decent guy, but like most have said, he's got this wrong.

I can't think of any other England player who has an "it's all about me" celebration as much as Bellingham does. In fact, the last player who looked as smug celebrating goals for England was Beckham - did he get shit? Err, maybe a little!

Unlike Scholes, unlike Lampard - the more modest players.

Yes Sterling got horrendous treatment - questions still need answering about that, because it was all wrong, but the Bellingham stuff is different to that.
