Just Stop Oil protests

All about the economics mate. Which some people on here are totally not grasping.

Who is going to pay for all these wind farms and renewables or other ways of "clean energy?"... In a world that is already economically fucked.

The government pisses away billions already on total shit - you'd they could have been a bit forward thinking.

Inevitable that someone was going to get a smack and, it won't be the last whilst they continue to target the public for their cause.

They need a strategy rethink

THe government and media are essentially dehumanising them and emboldening members of the public to do this. It's pretty disgraceful.

It's about time some of the public woke up to themselves.

What's disgraceful is the lack of action by the police to get these protesters off roads and stopping public disorders.

The guy who threw the punch went too far by following up with his feet but, if you continuosly piss enough people off, eventually you will tip someone over the edge and get a thick ear

The lack of climate action is infinetly more disgraceful, lets put things into perspective.

So what exactly have they achieved this year in their protests that will make the world safer for all? and, as expressed previously by several other posters, we will still have a dependency on oil fore some years to come so will still be buying it in

It keeps the conversation going and doesn't allow people to just lull into a sense of business as usual.

I rang for a ambulance at 2.30pm for my 90 year old mum a couple of weeks ago, it turned up at 9pm,
I dont suppose it was anything to do with a few Absolute Dickheads in hi viz jackets with neat little backpacks & bits of metal through there noses,
Probably more to do with the HHS being on its Fuc#ing knees, but I dont suppose it would help?
