Juventus (home) tickets/attendance

Winning the Champions League is the ultimate challenge. The teams and players you face, particularly in the last 16 are on another level to what we face in the league.

We've struggled so far in Europe, but that should make us more determined to do well.

Is it though?

It's just a cup competition at the end of the day

To me a greater challenge is winning the league over 38 games

Well I'd choose Juventus, and so would The Sheikh.

But the majority of our fan base wouldn't. I'm going tomorrow and looking forward to it but Saturday is more important to me.The CL is ultimately just a cup competition. Neither Chelsea or Liverpool (2005) were even close to being the best team in England when they won it.Unless of course you consider Agueroooo was a mere side show to Chelsea winning the CL? Our win at Newcastle in 1968 proved very little because Sir Toutalot and the rest won the European Cup the following week at Wembley did it?

Agree. You can fluke a CL win, Chelsea for example. They were outclassed in every game from QF onwards but still won it. You won't fluke the Premier League over 38 games.

Imo every big clubs owners which includes ours has the objective in their mind to win the cl. Sheikh kansour would be highly impressed and proud that the work he has done for us could lead us to CL.

Imo were not one of the world's greatest until we win the Champions League.

Chelsea were not regarded as one of the world's greatest even when they won CL.

When Villa won it they got as much praise in this country as they would have done if they'd won the LC. All the talk was about Liverpool winning the league back. Villa finished .... 11th.

If the choice was between winning the title or the CL then that's a tough one but I would still probably choose the title. But if you can't get excited about Juventus coming to play us in a competitive match then there's something very wrong. UEFA do their best to make their competitions as dull as possible with their horrendous rigged draw system but still, Juventus at home under floodlights? The day that doesn't make me feel a little giddy is the day I'll stop going at all.

This. I can understand why some of us would prefer winning the premier league but some of the posts on here I can't get my head around. The FA cup over the champions league? Really?

It's like the Sheikh has taken over us and doing his best to make us the best club in the world, but half our fans aren't arsed about it. Deary me!

Am in the South Stand Tier 2 and mine cost £32.50 , which I think is about right

Have to agree with this - while I want us to put a marker down soon in the CL I'd take the league over the CL for now as we've only won it a couple of times so far in my lifetime and the buzz about winning it is still huge but games like Juve at home definitely excite me. UEFA don't help with the structuring at times and the stupid no alcohol rule but one thing they can't ever take away from me regarding European football is the away trips - every one is a different adventure in itself.
