If tomorrrow is the day it is announced where he is going, when will we find out if we have put a bid in..?
he would be a massive signing but can't see it, although TFM on citymancs said he would choose us as we have offered him more.. come on Ajay spill...............................

Hey Ajay, if you know something can you let me know please so I can take some money off this red git! :)

Looking at them odds I think we have not even vested an interest in him this time - bookies are no mugs they dont get hit very often. 1/10 he will be a Madrid player looks quite nailed onto me - save your money mate or bang it on Tevez coming to City

Huge price that. To sign him whilst at them odds would have to be the greatest undercover operation in football history!

I was only jesting mate im not backing this one. I have already backed Tevez though about a month back

Would be but never known such a high profile player going under the radar of all journo's - someone somewhere always drops a hint to papers to make a little money for themselves.

Okay I'm going to say it and some will laugh!!!!!!

I'd rather us have Ireland, the guy works hard, can thread a ball through he eye of a needle and make some very clever runs to get into the box to score.

I can't see Kaka doing any better than what Ste did for us last season and NOT in his first year.

Now don't get me wrong as Kaka is an overall better player, but Stephen has time on his hands and will get better.

If Kaka's in Mark Hughes ideas I hope it's to put him up front, so S.I can still carry on progressing.

So do we really need Kaka??? or is that position well and truely taken, why not watch the video and then choose...The first one to watch it all without smiling like a tart is my hero!!!!

I am on the side of wanting to BELIEVE we could actually get him, but I think Cook had his hands burnt last time and dont think he will risk it again just in case ADUG think bad of him if it went belly up again.
Surely we wouldnt stay out of the saga unless KAKA himself had actually told Robinho that he has no intention of joining us.

So who would you suggest steps in when Ireland gets injured or suspended? Gelson?

This is the main difference between us and the top 4 at the moment - we have no strength in depth.

Surely your not saying that Kaka should be Stephen Irelands stand in?? The problem when your being dragged over a barrel for a so called world star is that they demand everything, the POSITION they play in. the amount of game they get etc.

You could say the same for any position, but I would doubt that world stars will come to sit on the bench. The other option is to get other solid players like Tungay (not world class, but would do a decent job without the need to have is ares wiped) to sit on the bench and occassionally get 10 mins or a player who's in his twighlight years and is happy to bench warm.

I know my attitude sounds like I'm thinking small "Ireland over Kaka", but I'm confident in two years time Ireland will be world class and the likes of Kaka will be an ageing player who's had us over a barrell. Plus Kaka's had all his time playing in the Italian one speed league, it will take him a season to get upto scratch (week in week out, not against the rag in europe) in a much tougher league.

If Kaka's happy playing in another position then great, otherwise I'd give SI the nod everytime.
