Kalidou Koulibaly

Err..NO I won't.

Newsflash as you might not have been aware, but Aguero AND Pep are able to walk at the end of this season if we don't tie them down to new deals, and I cannot remember one being offered as yet, and Txiki has not been completing Transfer business, so what has he been doing these last 3 weeks??.......ISOLATING??

We need a striker NOW to go along with Aguero and Jesus, as neither stay fit all year long, Jesus isn't naturally a striker, but a front man who can operate equally effective anywhere across the front 3, and although his game is different to Aguero, it's not THAT much different that opposing defences have to adapt a new plan, we could do with a target man, a goalscorer and someone to take over from Aguero when he does go, as if it is not this summer, then it is likely to be next, as he wants to go back home to Indipendiente while he still has plenty to give and finish his career, I doubt that he will change his mind anytime soon.....and at 32 is not getting any younger, what do we do, wait until he leaves and then try and get a replacement in?
I`ve seen some fucking stupid posts but by fuck yours takes the biscuit. What an absolute pile of horse shite. You,like the rest of us know jack shit as to whats going in the corridors of power at The Etihad so wind yer fucking neck in.
Another wolf in sheeps clothing to appear from nowhere !!

Genuinely think the Messi saga has messed up our window. The club probably knew Messi wanted to leave weeks prior to when we did, there's no way we could have just proceeded as we planned when a Messi deal would cost us hundreds of millions. It must've inevitabily set us back weeks.
Ever thought our biggest problem is moving people on.
Posters moan we don't get prices for players yet seem to think we can easily offload so we buy new.
So much reactive hyperbole and opinion dressed up as fact on this forum; gets worse every year.

If you'd been reading the Messi forum, could understand the detailed explanations about the Messi financing strategy, and could appreciate that the possibility of a bid for Messi was quite separate and in addition to our planned recruitments, then you wouldn't be going into print with such ridiculous and uniformed guesses.

And other forumers opinion wasn't a guess either? Quite clearly nobody knew exactly what was going on in the Messi deal. The Messi transfer fee could have cost us 100m+, of course it could have had an effect on our transfer business. It's as plausible a theory as Messi getting CFG shares.

Why do the two things have to be mutually exclusive? We could very well fail to attract buyers for our players AND have been set back weeks because of the financial package to take Messi to City. You're literally doing the exact same thing you're accusing me of; making an informed guess. You don't know that we can't attract buyers for our players

You used the word “must”; that's dressing up opinion as fact because you don't know.
I accused you of nothing but while I'm here you described our defence as “shambolic“ in another post so I will accuse you of talking reactive hyperbole or in other words utter bollocks.

One thing I have seen though is whoever recruits for the woman’s team is dam good and efficient at getting their targets in through the door maybe we should send them !

Sniff sniff Oakie Lad ???

I have remained calm throughout, but i am starting to get a bit frustrated now.

We are nowhere near agreeing a deal for Koulibaly and the season starts this weekend (Monday 21st September for us).

I appreciate transfer saga's can be dragged out for a long period of time, but why haven't we aimed to wrap up other targets such as LB and CM or forward player?

We seem to be laying all our eggs in one basket in the hope of acquiring Koulibaly and then looking to move on to other targets from there.

This Koulibaly saga seems to be dictating our entire transfer strategy.

Valid point on why we have not moved for a midfielder. I wld say messi is the one we want with Kk and will wait until deadline day to finalise. Not ideal but why settle for second best? We have enough good players to win the first games without needing new signings. It does not look like we will buy a lb.

Rumours that a club last week contacted Sevilla over Diego Carlos and his release clause i hope its not us i really do.

The word 'must' came after my initial sentence which read 'I genuinely think', the 'must' was an illustration of my train of thought. The message was clearly premised by it being my opinion.

And yes I di think the defence is shambolic. Laporte was poor post lockdown, we don't know how much the injury has really affected him yet. Stones was replaced by a 34-35 yo Fernandinho, none of the LBs have shown that they could step up. It's the clear reason why we've targeted Ake and Koulibaly and potentially another LB.

I actually would prefer Carlos. I know he had a poor game against Wolves but Varane had an utter shit show against us and he’s regarded by many as being one of the best in the world. Carlos seems to be good in the duels, decent on the ball, he’s rapid, a unit and at 27 is at a good age to still improve. KK from a few years ago would have been an immense signing but he’s definitely not that player anymore. From listening to the pundits/journalists that cover la Liga they think he is a quality CB and got into most of their teams of the year.

Iv seen that to alot of sevilla fans say he is quality but rash, likes a foul thats the only thing that puts me off really

Spot on. Could City have been fucking with Napoli and go for another target? I’m almost starting to thin so. The club is usually insanely effective at wrapping up deals but this is taking too long.

Khaldoon just two weeks ago said there will be additional playERS coming in, apart from Aké and Torres. So where the fuck are they?
