Not gonna judge a player by Southgates opinion tbh as an example Sterling usually starts ahead of foden and grealish for England.up to 60. so it could be 45 down and 15+ which isnt in the realms of madness for an International starter.
I’m not someone who is opposed to us signing Philips as I recognise we do need a decent back up for rodri but I do think this reported fee for a fairly average midfielder with 2 years left on his deal is complete madness. Especially as he won’t be an automatic starter just seems a bit excessive to me personally.
