He isn't the type of player who has the wow factor.

His game is simple. Screen the back four and be the out ball.

Technically he's good, comfortable on the ball and seems solid.

I'd have him.
Absolutely. We can’t have ‘wow’ players in every back up position. It’d cause major squad disharmony. We’ve some right entitled spoilt fifa playing fans on here

Totally disagree.

Fernando was never good enough for us, you could see it right from his first game.

A very limited player who was woefully out of his depth.
You only have to look at the rest of his career, including now, to see his quality.

Not being good enough for City doesn't mean you're not a good player.

I remember him having some very good games for us, and he certainly wasn't "woefully out of his depth".

Yep. The wow factor is Bellingham and hopefully that happens next summer. Perfect balance.

I do think the lack of hype and rating regarding both Cucurella and Phillips comes down to people not watching them enough and not understanding that these players are coming in to fill out and push our current starters. Cannot spend massive amounts on players that fill those roles :S Both are very good players and profile fits City.

Eh?

The rest of his career he’s played at Porto, Galatasaray and Sevilla?
