Last summer when many wanted Kane you were telling all and sundry about what an amazing CF Lukaku is and us lot on here didn’t have a clue. That’s why some people get pissed off with the know it all’s… I mean who the hell can watch Lukaku and come to that conclusion even if he was scoring for fun in a poor Italian league.
You mean watching Lukaku with his head elsewhere and a Tuchel who has no idea what to do with him? I suspect you give him again to Conte at Spurs and you’ll see a different player. Lukaku’s 2020/21 season was extraordinary and his season at Chelsea won’t erase that

Think you're reading too much into what I'm saying. :-)
Simply pointing out that we face a shortened close season and already have two players coming who have no experience of playing in England. If we buy 4-5 such players and lose 2-3 from the existing squad, it means there is increased pressure on a smaller squad at the start of the season. Other players (including your Danilo ;-)) might just take a little longer to settle.
As everyone will agree that with Rodri and Gundogan staying whoever we bring won’t start that many games, so it is the perfect opportunity to bring this “no PL experience” player

Leeds lost 12 of the 18 games he missed this season.

When he played they lost just 6 out of 20.

There's a strong argument that if he'd been fit all season Bielsa would still be Leeds manager.
It proves more how one-dimensional is Bielsa as a manager.

Fernandinho arrived at 28 and had 9 years, but Phillips at 26 must just be a stop gap…
Fernandinho at that time has won Europa League with the Ukrainian side and he was the best player in this league, while Phillips is playing in a nearly relegated side. A little bit different situation.

Ok, so we should be looking at Etienne Capoue because he’s won the Europa League?

Utter nonsense that it’s a different situation.

How about Phil Jones at the back as he’s won the Premier League?

Think it would be a great signing to be honest. He’d be coming in as a rotational player initially and he’s got an absolute engine (possibly even more than Bernardo), which is absolutely vital in certain games. I don’t see a downside?
