I don't doubt you are a pull for him with your money and trophy aspirations.

But he is a very different character to Grealish who always had a selfish streak (can see that with how he acts off the pitch).

So Grealish, Mr Arrogant leaving his boyhood club for you wasn't that much of a shock to me.

Kalvin is a far more grounded lad I'd say and I do think that will make any deal far more difficult.
We don’t aspire to win trophies cocker, we win em!

What, the stuff he does with his own time and money for fans and charities?

Grealish has done some stupid shit in his time but more what I'd characterise as reckless and unthinking than selfish. And both on and off the pitch since he joined us, criticised as he may have been for various things, selfishness hasn't been a problem.

A football career is what? 20 years if you're lucky from signing your first professional contract to hanging up your boots?

No shame in sticking with a club you love. But equally, it's not selfish to want to make the most of that time, to play at the highest level, to test yourself against the best in the world, to win trophies and medals, and to earn enough money to keep you and everyone you care about financially secure for the rest of their lives.

When I left my last job for a new one where I would be more challenged and earn more, the people I used to work for didn't turn on me and accuse me of selfishness. It's a completely sensible and common career decision.

If Phillips does leave Leeds, it's not going to be because he suddenly becomes selfish. It'll be because it's what he wants to do with his career, and like anyone else he has a right to make that decision.

Possibly or maybe he just feels like it's time for a change of agent?

We've quite a few Stellar clients at the club so could just be something like that.

Players don’t just fancy a change of agent for no reason mate - that’s a hopelessly naive position to take.

Could be to negotiate an extension with Leeds on the best terms possible, absolutely - but it won’t just be because he feels on a whim like it’s time for a change of agent this summer.

Like I said - I’d actually quite like to see him stay at Leeds if he intends to be a one club player. There’s plenty to admire in that, and it’s something I personally appreciate as it’s all too rare these days.

But let’s not pretend he’s changing agents at this precise moment (ahead of a pivotal summer transfer window) just for the sake of it.

I heard from Leeds fans that their new manager wants to rebuild the squad and he does not want to build around Phillips. It makes sense for them sell Philips this summer to cash his value rather than keeping him. Phillips also has no intention to commit to a long deal under this situation. A win-win-win situation for their new manager - the player and City.

My last comment for the time being.

Most LUFC fans would likely accept KP going if that is his wish and it wasn't to someone like Manure and aslong as we got a fair price.

The talk of £20mil and £30mil in this market wouldn't be a fair price when players like Ake go for £40mil and Ben White went for £50mil.

Kalvin has seen his reputation grow massively over the last few years and been named England's mens player of the year the same year England reached our first international final in decades.

Aslong as the money involved reflected all that I think most Leeds fans would accept it and wish him well.

I just don't see a Championship player contract having some sort of Champions League clause in it.

No evidence of that ever happening before.

Kalvin has yet to sign a Premier League contract so things that are in them are unlikely to be in his current one.

Why are City still interested? Maybe Pep feels KP is worth more than £50mil?

He felt Grealish was worth £100mil which was ludicrous.

So it isn't that you don't ever overpay, that shows you absolutely do.

You spent £40mil on Nathan Ake, you think Kalvin is worth less than Ake?

Or all those years ago you spent £38mil on a 28 year old Fernandinho who had only played in the relatively weak Ukraine league domestically with only a handful of caps for Brazil.

Turned out for be a great player but why would 9 years later an English international and player of the year cost less when we know the domestic market is inflated and players cost far more now?

If the City decision makers thought Fernandinho was worth £38mil all those years ago and Ake was worth £40mil few years back I'd be shocked if they felt they could get Phillips for less.

We shall see soon I suppose regarding everything.
I mean we'll have to see. But im gonna bet my money on what the City itks are referring to. We will revist this in a while.

One last thing; care to explain why KP is changing to Stellar? To stay at Leeds?

The reports regarding KP are that he's on top of City list of fernandinho replacements... But which other players are on there? Just saw that Bissouma could move for 30m. But i dont want an alleged rapist here nor is the kind of person City are looking at, plus he isn't HG. Any ideas?
