Would have done him the world of good starting a game and giving a really solid performance , he intercepted the ball and played simple passes , didnt give the ball away and looked a good footballer , but he needs to move on because i dont think he suits our game or tactics. He is a steady eddie / water carrier type of players and we need more from a player , nothing against the lad and he would walk into 90% of Premier league teams , he needs games and he wil not get enough of them in our blue shirt
 
Played well tonight. with the proviso that Scotland though improved lately are not top quality. But then again neither are a lot of premier league teams.

But if nothing else it shows Phillips is match fit and if not picked at some point in the near future it’s because Pep doesn’t rate him
 
This is the most minutes he will play this side of Christmas. Whatever he was supposed to do, he did it for 90 minutes and he did effortlessly. A weird position he is in, totally.
 
Id have him start all the cup games with Nunes as a pair.

Give Rodri and Kova some rest, lets see how they do.

Then use them as subs more often when we have a 2 goal lead or something.

If you’re expecting Pep to change his subs strategy any time soon, you might be disappointed.
