The homeownership rate in the US is 100 basis points HIGHER today than it was in 1994 and is 1,300 basis points higher than the UK.So, you're going back 30 years, where citizens didn't necessarily work more than a single job to raise a household compared to now when the average Joe struggles to have $400 for a hospital emergency or live paycheck to paycheck. Yes, people flock to the US, to live better lives as they do to the UK, but I don't recall the UK forcing the funding of drug wars and regime change in neighbouring countries that force that kind of migration. Wars is a given.
Blackrock et al may not be ruining your life, in particular, but then you're not trying to live in starter property in 2024, are you??
This is your comparison from 30 years ago to today for the 'American Dream'?
Okay, thanks.
Blackstone (not BlackRock) owns less than 1% of the US housing stock — far less, in fact.
Jesus tap dancing Christ, you can’t even get your straw men correct. You are consistently wrong about EVERYTHING.
Why in the fuck would anyone listen to your point of view? You don’t have any command of the facts. Ever.
