Kaoru Mitoma

Did you bother to watch him last season?

Close control, dribbling ability, work ethic, ball retention etc... He's got everything required to play in this team.

Sometimes you only need 5-10 minutes to watch a player to know when a player has it or not.

Pep said he was unbelievable so that's enough for me.
5-10 minutes ........... really ???

Another quote to add to the list.

I think it's easy to see very quickly if someone has the ability or not.

The one thing that takes more time to work out is understanding or finding out what a footballers character, mentality and attitude is like etc.

Talent is not everything, but in the case of Mitoma, his work rate is very very good and he seems to have a good attitude.

He is a right-footed left winger, we need a left-footed right winger who can cut inside like Mahrez. This signing would make little sense. Unless he would be brought in as a competition for Grealish on the left and Foden would be moved to the right wing.
Why not a winger strong on both feet then they could do both on either wing to a fair standard.

30m ahahahaahhaha.

30m can't even get you a Scott McTominay.

We paid 45m for Phillips and he hasn't had one good game for us. Not one.
He has hardly got on the field to even stake a claim. Personally I really don't know why we bought him maybe Pep sees him as a three year project.

Everytime he's played he looks like he's carrying a huge sack of potatoes on his back.

If you have a pair of eyes and a footie brain, you can clearly see Mitoma is an infinitely, infinitely better player than Kalvin Phillips.
But that isn’t the issue. The issue is whether he a viable player for us, is he worth £80m (is he fuck), had you heard of him a year ago (had you fuck), is he better than Kalvin Phillips (completely fucking irrelevant)

Is Grealish worth 100m? No he isn't.

That's the market nowadays. It's absolutely nuts.

It’s great that we are all football geniuses on here. Pep should be worried about his job.

So a year ago how many times had you seen or had you even heard of Mitoma?

I hadn't seen him, but from what I saw last season I thought he looked brilliant.

How many times have you seen Paqueta play by the way? Yet City want him after 1 season (albeit quite an average season from him) in the premier league.

I do rate Paqueta btw.

You don’t know that City want Paquet any more than I don’t know whether City do or don’t want Mitoma

We clearly want Paqueta. It's literally been reported by the best football journalist around, David Ornstein.

Not just Romano, but Brazilian reports, Jack Gaughan who is close to the club and Sky Sports News.

I thought the bench was looking a bit cheap towards the end of last season. Lets see if we can boil the bench piss when Josko, Mitoma, Paqueta Laporte and Cancelo are taking up expensive arse space, while the first three settle in.

Mitoma is a good signing if we can bring him in for anything around 45m pounds. Seems feasible with the 2 years remaining on his contract and already 26 years old.

He's at an age where we should get his prime years but he doesn't break the bank so we can still target the next big winger available, whomever or whenever that may be.

He already knows how to sit Liverpool on their arse so I welcome him openly. Knocked them out of the FA Cup with that 92' stunner.

He did well in that game and scored a brilliant goal. But I was most impressed with him in the home PL game against Liverpool

One thing I noticed about him last season a lot though is that the last thing he does (shot/cross) is often quite poor.
