Keir Starmer

Ha ha I know you are a starmer supporter but he has even sheepishly admitted they have been ditched, using the last 2 years and Covid as some weak reason.

1st pledge: he has backtracked on the taxing the top 5% and corporation tax
2nd: Reeves thinks the welfare state is already too kind to some.
3rs: green new deal has been wartered down and he has added fine a fly tipper as a gimmick
4th: Pretty much agreed with the gov on most foriegn policy decisions
5th: Ruled this out completely and him, reeves and streeting have all muted more privare investment in public services
6th: Pretty much just claiming he will just be more efficient than the gov at proccessing people no real stratergy, no interest in reversing free movement
7th: Shown his true colours and opinion already and shits on Unions and workers battling for better wages with his attitude
8th: Gone very quiet on this bar waving his two flags at scotland and telling them stay part of the union
9th: The party is presently accused of having ignored or be indifferent to transphobia, racism, islamaphobia, mysoginy, elitism and stalin like autocratic systems that bar disent.
10th: What opposition have we had ? He has voted with or abstained during these parliament sittings as LotO and whipped MPs to do the same, spent most of the pandemic and year after agreeing with the government while they fleeced the country and since has hardly dented them, the knob is lucky they are so corrupt and unlikable, the tories have been their own opposition party and gifted starmer a 20% lead.

All pledges ditched or ignored, that is why many call him a liar and a fraud.

Still 5 years of blue labour is better than 5 more years of the hard right tories we have ;-)
I’m not a Starmer supporter, I just see Labour as a better option this time around. Simple really, the country is in chaos due to Tory vandalism, a Tory party that has become nothing of what my values are and a blight on this fine country of ours.

If you are a Tory voter, fair play to you if you think they have done a good job and see them doing so for the foreseeable future.

In terms of what will be on the ballot paper in the next ge though, what choice is there other than Tory/Labour or essentially a protest vote of no significance unless you are in a marginal constituency?
Your vote is of no consequence and neither is mine. Its a fallacy that when you get to vote you are changing anything or you should vote tactically.

All your vote does is give a party your support. It gets added to a total than makes Starmer or whoever think they are doing a good job.

If someone is not enamoured with a party the worst thing they can do is vote for it.

I'm in a Tory safe seat so even a vote for labour is just a protest vote really. I can probably not worry about it too much, but we really should have PR.

We should and that's why I vote green as well as for the environment obviously.

I actually think it's important that people don't vote Labour or tory but I know they will in their droves. People really don't use their common sense.

I called you a starmer supporter as you defend him passionately here and won't criticise him of his actions.

Fair enough thwn I will rephrase the term to labour voter being loyal

as for voting tory plenty of posts on this sub forum has spelt my opinion of tory voters out, but I upset some last time I call them all cunts ;-)

Ditto. I’d rather it be registered who I’d actually want as my voice in parliament rather than who I’d prefer in a binary choice. The only chance we’ve ever got of moving to PR is if more people did it.

What you end up with from people not is the two main parties with factions in them that are ideologically miles away from each other, the only real common denominators are they don’t like the other party. As seen, that makes for absolutely shit government when they are in power.
