Keir Starmer

As she’s standing down at the next election it’s a no brainer. If she would be displacing another candidate then that would be wrong. As it is, it’s just a kick in the bollocks to Sunak and an extra vote for Labour in Parliament which is hard to turn down. Although the optics aren’t great the fact she’s standing down means it will be forgotten in no time by most people.

it'll be wrapping over your chips by this weekend

I never thought i would see the day when people like Elphicke were fine in the labour party but people like Ken Loach are not.

Decency is not needed in a political party these days mate and that includes Labour, the only thing that matters is the kudos of the position and the benefits it brings. The win is paramount and however you sell it or what you do matters not.
Least we know after years of listening to them which posters never really cared about others in the first place. As long as their team wins.

If Elphicke can defect, then you can too! Our resident alt-Green could have a cushy 6 weeks too! ;-)

I’m starting to see why Labour rarely win elections. I’m not even sure die hard Labour members even want to win elections and bother themselves with all that messy governing business.

For all the talk about helping people it doesn’t seem to extend to actually doing anything. It’s like an extended episode of Citizen Smith :)

I'm lucky no cares if a green politician is caught throwing a bottle in the river. I wouldn't claim he/she/them was trying to keep afloat a drowning orphan though.

Just wait till after the election though that bottle will be replaced with a state bought lifeboat. Middle England don't like the noise you see so wink wink keep it to yourself.

Only time will tell. Either Starmer is really moving towards the right, but I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt until that becomes truthful.

He could be showing that anybody is welcome in the Labour Party and trying to take tribalism out of it, whilst trying to get as big a majority as possible.

If he achieves a huge majority, then he’s got carte blanche to map out how the country goes in the next decades really.

If, at that point, he’s still pandering to all and sundry, I’ll be as critical of him as everyone else.

You sound more like a Tory everyday, that post could have come straight from Worsley or that Btewster guy. Congratulations your brainwashing is almost complete.

Winning elections is solely a Tory aspiration? Well, explains why Labour rarely do so, I guess. Perhaps I should aspire to self-preening and parading my ‘superior morality and decency’ rather than trying to make a practical difference.

But, who am I, a mere mortal, to lecture the great and the good on the best way forward for this United Kingdom of ours? Better to die in battle with righteousness on our side then stoop to kicking the living fuck out of the incompetent fuckers currently running the country.

Ah, who am I kidding. I’m all in for kicking the living fuck out of the Tories. We are who we are, comrade.

The Labour party hasn't really been Ken Loach's thing since he got out of short trousers.
