Keir Starmer

I can confirm I will not be voting Labour again whilst Keith and the RW of the party take the party further to the right. If i wanted to vote for a RW party I would vote for a RW party. If a party stands in my constituency that has true Socialist values then they get my vote, if not i probably for the first time in my life not even bother.

Do you live in a Tory/Labour marginal?

It’s better to vote for the party most likely to beat the Conservative candidate.

As it happens i live in a Tory/Lib Dem marginal, I do have a Labour councillor though.

I will never vote Tory, although i do have a grudging admiration for one nation Tories, the current lot of libertarian fruitcakes i despise. As for the Lib Dems i did vote for them once and they entered coalition with the Tories. I sent a very polite email to the newly elected Lib Dem MP that didn't even use the words "fucking lickspittle sell out ****" and he didn't even have the good grace to reply , the ****. So the Lib Dems can fuck off.

I will vote for my Labour councillor because he is a good councillor who has done a lot for the ward and personally helped me with an issue I had, my Tory MP was also visited and she was fucking useless and patronising. I don't think wearing a Communist badge to a Tory MPs surgery was the wisest move though, but it humoured me.

I hear this regularly and as an individual it's nonsense. When you enter that ballot box vote for who best represents your views. If it's none of them spoil your paper.

Never ever support any party you don't believe in, if you do you have no complaints.

Here endeth the lesson.

I thought you did, because I looked at constituencies in GM around Salford a couple of months back and worked out you must be in Tory/libdem marginal.

You could just mark his box with "I vote for this ****"

So vote for who you want to but still end up with the worst party? It's just stubborn pride. Might as well not vote.

Nonsense how many seats are decided by 1 vote. It has probably never happened. How many parties have won an election by one vote definitely never happened.

Where rascal me or you put our x will have no bearing at all apart from a number in support of a particular party. All you have done is officially given support to a party you don't believe in.

If you feel your vote is meaningless, which is a completely understandable consequence of FPTP, surely it makes sense to vote tactically and maximise your vote's impact?

I’m banging my head on a brick wall here:-)

If you vote tactically just you,as that is all you are responsible for, what impact does your vote have. You know some will vote Tory some labour some tactically and etc.. etc... but your one vote will not impact the election in any way whatsoever. You may say but if everyone thought this way....

But you know they won’t. So unless the seat in your local election comes down to one vote which it won’t then all you have to concern yourself with is what you believe in. You have entered the process in good faith and can feel confident you have done what you believe in.

Unless someone can show me the year in which a seat was won by one vote and that seat won the election by one which no one can then the only conclusion when you grab the ballot paper is do I vote for a party i believe in or a party I don’t. Hell you may decide none deserve your support.

Personally I vote Green and they get trounced in my Tory majority seat. But at least I know I have given my support to the Greens which is all I can do.

As fucking horrible as this Tory government is and with the worst PM in my living history, if not in history, I’m afraid I just can’t buy into this guy nor his party that is ripping itself apart at every opportunity.

Politics in the UK is absolutely fucked.

Unite to remove funding down to about a million a year as an affiliate.

Some record as a leader to lose thousands of members and your main financial backer.

Oh well starmer can whore the party out to billionaires and lobbyists of choice.
