Keir Starmer

No point other than lower levels of homelessness than under any Tory government of the last 40 years, record investment in the NHS and shorter waiting times than any Tory government ever, record investment in state education.

Winning 3 landslides. The only Labour leader to win an election in 50 years. That’s the point.

It’s got to be better than lurching to the far left and losing 4 elections in a row and getting the worst result in 100 years?

The Daily Mail was still the Daily Mail in 1997. It didn’t matter, because the people voted for something better than the Tories. They will vote for something better than the Tories again if you give them the option. But Marxism is not it. People don’t want it.

That's the con, the media made out Labour were Marxist, they were nothing of the sort. They campaigned on a reasonable centre left Democratic Socialist platform. Many on here were bewildered when I said I considered the Labour party to be too right wing.

Hang on we got told the membership demanded the remain position?

Which is it Russ?

I get it its deflect time and blame anyone and everything for the failure yet again of the supreme leader, his master McCluskey and the momentum stooges that run the whole lot behind the scenes but im not having it that it is the right of the labour party to blame for their shit brexit stance.

It was your own pro remain membership and i know this because i got told it several times on here by a few members.

I know only one member who wanted to push remain, and one other that was hoping for a second refeendum, most I know were more bothered about other stuff and, like me were fine with leaving as per the referendum.

That 80% guff always on the news and peddled by watson I never understood.

Not me. :)

For a party that says it is anti racist and wants equality for all it's about time it tries having a female in charge. A lot of the men come across as absolute gimps
It will be decided by the membership on a democratic basis. The best person for the job will win it.

I don't care who it is, male or female, black or white, gay or straight, a rag or a blue as long as whoever it is a Socialist and not a Blairite neo-liberal.

So you don't want Labour to win the next election then?

Momentum should go and get / set- up their own party rather than hijacking the Labour party

And still this nonsense about momentum goes on.

They have nowhere near the influence in the party nor the voting power to make a difference. It has 40,000 members, the Labour party is half a million strong, do the maths.

You may never realise that the capitalist establishment want you to think that so there interests are protected.

People have voted for homelessness and hunger, for the rich to enrich themselves further and for the corporitisation of the UK on a scale unimaginable.

We have got exactly what we deserve and that scares the shit out of me..
I couldn't agree more comrade

So you don't want Labour to win the next election then?

We will never have another election, protest will continue, scotland will leave, more protests leading to riots, the tory manifesto pledge to circumvent parliamnet and the law will see marshal law and we will see a one party banana republic come to pass.

And you would have voted for bankruptcy / debt being passed on to future generations so they suffer further and crippling inflation - Labour are economically naive
I am anything but economically naïve, I have a degree in Economics and I can say with knowledge and conviction you do not have a clue what you are talking about.

Just because I’m popular in my own household(debatable) doesn’t mean the rest of the street want me to run the Neighbourhood Watch

I was bothered about a lot stuff and an Indy ref. Just in case that was me you were referring to? Same stuff as most. Economy, NHS, Social Care, Trade, Education, The Planet, annoying Trump, Brexit and the plight of the Fox and other creatures our psychopathic betters live to kill for fun. I'd kill them first, very slowly. But that aside, I was bothered by probably more than I care to.

@blueinsa
This answer saves me replying mate.

Its spot on.

Met him the other week doesn’t have the cuntishness of Johnson, Corbyn or Swinson and was pro business talking about persuading tech companies in China to come to Manchester. Burnham, he’s in the wrong place at the moment being mayor or Manchester. I can understand why he’s taking cover at the moment with the stupid leftyness going through Labour at the moment.

The problem the labour party has is the hate and misinformation given out by the Tory media, media barons who reside outside the country, very patriotic not,tax avoidance, preaching to the masses that immigration is the problem, when in fact the problem is the establishment, they don't want their boat rocking,so they get the working class fighting amongst themselves, until this divide and rule is stopped then it will carry on

I never realised that caring for the poor, the elderly, the infirm, the NHS, schools and the environment was stupid.

It was packaged up wrong, it’s what I want to happen but the way it was presented to the public didn’t work. Be realistic, when McDonald announced Corbyn as the leader of the next socialist government the day the election was called I cringed. Labour only works when it takes centre ground, I despair what it’s become when my dad who has voted Labour all his life voted conservative.

Corbyn has taken the Labour party back to its democratic socialist roots

Labour only works when it takes centre ground.

This is blatently wrong. The best PM of the 20th century was no Blairite, the party he led created the NHS, built millions of homes, layed the economic foundations for prosperity and all after nearly a decade of World Wars and uprisings against imperilaism
