Cool.
You'll be getting softer conservatism in Starmer and tepid action for the working class.

Ditch him, Starmer for someone with passion. Labour should be streets ahead of this excuse for a government.Cool.

...he upsets certain RW and LW factions...
His refusal to back the RMT is disgusting.I’ve just had a flick through Keir Starmer’s Twitter feed for the last week or so.
Not a single mention of the RMT strike. No support. No condemnation. Nothing.
It’s the biggest news story of the week. Dominating every media outlet. Yet this shithouse hasn’t got a word to say on it.
Just a reminder of one of his 10 pledges when he was campaigning to become Labour leader.
Number 7: “Strengthen workers’ rights and trade unions, Stand up for working people, tackle insecure work and low pay. Repeal the Trade Union Act. Oppose Tory attacks on the right to take industrial action and the weakening of workplace rights.”
I think he is acting entirely tactically and has calculated that if he can appeal to Tories that are fed up with this shit show and Labour voters who voted Tory last time he can win the next election. I expect no vision, no radical manifesto, no tackling Europe. Just a very anemic set of promises. That’s politics in this country now. He may or may not scrape through with that approach and then we shall see If he has any substance whatsoever. His refusal to back the RMT is disgusting.
I listened to the podcast he did with James O'Brien and he came across as pretty decent to be fair, but he panders to the centrists and the likes of that fucking dickhead Luke Akehurst and his Blairite cronies. He claims to be a Socialist , he ain't he is a social democrat. Thats better than the lying fuckwit we have, but not by much.
I am not in LFI so i have no chanceWill you run for the NEC Russ?
Starmer is calculated and understands that ideological views don’t get you into power, and being out of power does not allow you to make change.I think he is acting entirely tactically and has calculated that if he can appeal to Tories that are fed up with this shit show and Labour voters who voted Tory last time he can win the next election. much more succinct than my attempt and spot on.Starmer is calculated and understands that ideological views don’t get you into power, and being out of power does not allow you to make change.
I wholeheartedly agree with this view.
